Anything can happen in negotiations, but I don't expect Ford to get rid of 2 tier. It may go away if Chrysler goes first. It will be interesting to see if the UAW picks a target company.

I would think if they pick one, and I don't think they will, it would be ford since there balance-sheets are the strongest.

Getting rid of, or seriously modifying two tier should be the number one goal of the next contract negotiators.
Its terrible, wrong, and is gonna kill us as a union.

It is wrong ,but no way will Ford back off the 2 tier..Hell if I owned a Co. I wouldn't.In fact I would try to buyout old workers and replace with lower paid workers..I predict a raise in the percentage of lower tier workers this contract.

I have been called a "tier 1 motherfucker" by a team leader who is tier two and he is also VERY anti union. so yeah two tiers was a BAD idea

They will get what they want one day and then it will be too late for Setlles and company to do anything about it.
