OMG!!!!! I am so sick of hearing two tier complain at every damn thing!!!!! I'm two tier. Im grateful for my job and I can only hope to roll over to first tier pay someday/year. Thank you to the legacy who gave up a lot!! Not only to open the door for new hires but for sacrificing what they had. It would have been taken away at some point anyway but at least because of the cost cutting things you gave up, I have a job. Some people can say that they didn't do us any favors. How the hell do you know what they gave up? You weren't here and you haven't had to give up shit yet. I have a headache and in a bad mood. I'm just exhausted with all the BS whining all the damn time. Go find another damn job where there is equal pay so you can bitch about your sucky ass job then!!!

Wish there were more like you. I want us all on the same pay scale and I want us all to fight together.

In about 2 maybe 3 months I will be back to camping, boating ect.... Until then, this place is great to let out my anger and frustrations. Maybe you need to find a hobby?! I'm just curious to see how you treat two tier once you roll to full pay. I could care less how you treat me, but I do feel bad for those that will eventually be "beneath you"

Need to get rid of a hobby or two probably. But your entertaining! No I believe in equal pay or equal work. I would rather all of us come up at once. For me its not so much the money as it is the principle. Money would be nice im not going to lie. I just dont see how you have a union when you have two different pay rates for the same work. That has been a core principle of the union for decades. Look you seem real compassionate to what ever legacy has gone through more so than the people you hired in with barely getting by. Have they sacrificed, sure they have! But, they still have a pension, great insurance, and a pay rate that has been unchanged through the worst down turn in the companies history. So the way I see it the major sacrifices to help the company out is to hire 15 thousand new workers at half the rate of pay, insurance not as good and no pension. Now to me the majority of the sacrifices were passed on to us.

Its not a sacrifice, if you didn't have it to begin with. Hopefully when you took this job you bettered yourself, if not then you shouldn't have taken it. I agree wholeheartedly with the fact that it should have never happened, the 2 tiers, but it did & for the 1000th time, if you didn't want to work here with the 2 tier system & the fact that pension insurance etc was subpar, then why in the world did you take the job. I don't necessarily mean YOU personally, but anyone?

I'm in a relationship with a legacy employee. Almost 21 yrs with the company and I seen her come home barely able to move. They didn't have all the robotic, ergonomic things that LAP has now. Through her I have made some really good friends who also have 20 plus years. I'm not going to lie. When they lost some of there break time I made fun of her. Where I worked at the time we got two 10 min breaks and 3o min lunch. If lines were down we had to at least look busy or we got wrote up I heard but don't know how true it is so just rumor at this point, ford plans on rolling every one up to March 2012 over to full pay. If this happens I will be 2 days short of that. I'm not bitter about it and happy for everyone or anyone who does get rolled over. There are bad legacy and bad two tier. But the good out weighs the bad.

You dont have to explain anything. Ive said over and over again you have definitely sacrificed. But where is the company saving the most money. ME, two tier. There not saving near as much on the sacrifices youve made. And yes I know what I signed up for. But if all 14k two tier dont whine, bitch and be abnoxious about it then nothing will get done. And nothing still might not get done. Not really caring what people think of me. Just trying to get to your level.

Kind of like bad press is good press. As long as people are talking about it that's all that matters.

Saving more money on you I can agree with. Not just talking about it, but talk about it accurately, however all the talking in the world won't change it. We've entered a different era like it or not, 2 tier is more than just Ford, & unless something changes drastically with the mindset of this nation it is here to stay & unions in general will get weaker & weaker. Just the way it is.

I dislike this entire thread. No hourly employee should ever put groups against one another in any way. That is a company tactic that is used for productivity reasons. (An angry work force is a more productive workforce. A company tag line from the past) It is a contact year. It is time to stand together as one or fail as individuals this September.
You have to think of the entire hourly work force this September instead of just yourself. Otherwise, there will be no gains for anyone anytime in the future.
