on Fern Valley Monday February 9 and Tuesday February 10, from 4pm - ?? pm or
until all questions about being converted are answered. These meetings will be
for questions about the conversion process from Entry Level Employees to Regular
New Traditional Employees. LAP is fortunate enough to have 12 of the total 55
employees converting. For more information on the 80/20 status, please visit the

UAW 862 Run-Off Elections – Run-off elections will be held for the unexpired
term of Vice President and Trustee positions at 4:30am Thursday, February 5th
and polls will close at 8:00am Saturday, February 7th. Installation of the
elected Local Union Officers will be held at the next regular membership
meeting. Their term will expire in June 2017. The polls will be located at both
the Fern Valley Road and Chamberlain Lane union halls. You will not be permitted
to vote without proper identification (Union card, Ford ID, etc.). In accordance
with Article 38, Section 10 of our International Constitution, absentee
balloting for Executive Board positions is permitted under certain
conditions.
Red Cross and Be The Match (lap) - Please remember to visit the Louisville
Assembly Plant’s Main Cafeteria on February the 23, 24, and 25. The blood
drive and the “Be The Match” bone marrow drive times will be 7am-1pm, and
5pm-11pm each day. The Red Cross will provide the same services to our members
in donating blood as they have in the past. “Be The Match” is a program
that has been adopted across the country by UAW-National Ford Department and
Ford Motor Company. The process is simple and takes approximately 5 minutes
over and above the blood donation. Many of us within the National Ford and
Sub-Council Delegates have already completed the process. It is a simple
swabbing and the filling out of paper work.
