A-CREW MANDATORY OVERTIME: A-Crew is tentatively scheduled to work Sunday
3/1/15 and Sunday 3/22/15 with a 6am start time.
B-CREW MANDATORY OVERTIME: B-Crew is tentatively scheduled to work Saturday
3/14/15 with 6pm start time.
PROFIT SHARING: Profit Sharing will be paid out to all eligible employees on
March 12, 2015.
ST. PATRICK’S PARADE: UAW/FORD is one of the sponsors for the St.
Patrick’s Parade this year. Everyone is invited to march in the parade. The
parade is Saturday, March 14th, at 3:00pm. UAW members and their families will
be passing out beads and candy to the crowd. If you are volunteering in the
parade be in the staging area at 1:30pm. Show up early. Find a parking place on
a side street then walk to staging area at the corner of Barret Ave. and E.
Broadway. Do not park in Mid City Mall, they will tow you.
MOVIE PREMIER “DREAMERS AND DOERS”: March is Woman’s History Month.
“Dreamers and Doers” is a film documentary inspired by the women in our
Commonwealth who boldly opened doors in politics, science, education,
entertainment, literature, athletics, religion and the military. The event will
be held on Monday March 16th at 6p.m. at the Clifton Center located at 2117
Payne Street in Louisville. All events are free and open to the public;
however, you MUST reserve a ticket for admittance. Seating is limited… reserve
your seat now! Contact Vera Newton at 502-364-3973 to request tickets.
EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT: The Shoe Carnival in Springhurst Towne Center is offering a
30% discount off your entire purchase on Sunday March 8th from noon until 5pm.
You must have a coupon to receive the discount. Coupons can be obtained at
either Local 862 Union Hall.
HOLIDAY WORLD DISCOUNT TICKETS: UAW Local 862 is now signed up for fun! Just log

ANNUAL UAW LOCAL 862 EASTER EGG HUNT: This year’s event will be held on Good
Friday, April 3, 2015 from 4:30pm-7:30pm at the Ron Gettelfinger (LAP) Union
Hall Gym at 3000 Fern Valley Road, Louisville, KY. (rear gym doors will open at
4:30pm). The hunt will begin at 6:30pm and is for children ages six months to
ten years old.
ENTRY LEVEL DENTAL INSURANCE: You are eligible for Dental insurance (Delta
Dental) and Eye exams (through SVS), beginning the first day of the month
following 3 years of service. The insurance starts automatically. Any
questions contact the benefits reps, Jim Fisher (502) 969-3286 or Kevin Mottley

OWEN C HAMMONDS SCHOLARSHIP: 2015 Owen C. Hammons Scholarship - UAW Local 862
initiated the Owen C. Hammons Scholarship Fund in 1988. Annually, Local 862
awards three, $2,000.00 scholarships to the sons, daughters, stepsons, or
stepdaughters of UAW Local 862 members. Applicants must be a high school senior
and must be accepted into a U.S. accredited college or university, community
college, technical or trade school at the time the award is issued. Awards
must be used for the 2015-2016 school year. To obtain application requirements,
and/or an application, contact the Financial Secretary, Scott Edwards, at the
Fern Valley Road Union Hall (502) 969-9136, or President Todd Dunn, at the
