Why don't they get paid, what we get paid when we are on strike?

Strike? Whats that? Oh yeah that's what the union talks about, and the company laughs at! Hell you dont want a strike. Thats just an oportunity for the union to make the original contract worse.

Have yet to figure out how all 4500 people are going to walk the picket line to get paid $200 a week. From my understanding you only get paid if you walk. Tier 2's are saying now they don't have any extra money. You think creditors care if you are on strike? They want their money on time. Quick thought, figure up how long it will take you to recoup your losses when the strike is over

Theres not going to be a strike. Union has proven there isn't a back bone to them. Even if we do go on strike maybe 2-3 days at most. Ford is not going to want to lose production, and the union isn't going to stand up to anybody. Only been here three years but when issues are out on the floor, union shows up and does nothing but put on a dog and pony show. Pathetic!

Don't waste your time trying to figure it out. Seriously doubt if the UAW ever strikes again.

A strike by us would not do either party any good. It would hurt ford, giving us less negotiating power. Would give the public a bad perception of ford and the uaw. I am optimistic that a better contract will be reached this time. Time will tell.

The question is, what is our local and international leadership pay while on strike?

The question is, what is our local and international leadership pay while on strike? Not sure, but if we're on strike and not working.... I would like for them to be working and get it settled. Wouldn't you?

I believe they all get paid 40 hours a week but I'm not sure. This came up last contract on BON and that is what someone posted but like I said I'm not sure.

Yes, I would want them to work and settle the situation. Just ask about their pay.

Accept a pile of crap and deal with that for the rest of your life. You'll have nothing to recoup then.Ever think about what we're leaving behind for our children and grandchildren. They'll live a life of poverty cause they're predecessors where a bunch of pussies.

For sure ..A strikes only good if you hold out till you get all you want..If not then it's a joke.Ford wouldn't be hurt at all and if you start saving now you won't be either..The public will still buy Ford regardless of a strike..But it won't happen..

Anyone on the executive board in the union does get their normal pay in the event of a strike. The union members just get strike pay and no benefits. Sometimes itis necessary but only in the event of a complete break down in negotiations would they strike. The internation would rather sell you out and use your strike fund to unionize the southern plants.
