I've been saying it from the beginning, not all, but a lot. That's what you get by hiring them at a low wage.

They would awol even if they got hired in at high wage. Lazy is lazy and no amount of money is going to change that. Ford is going to turn their heads on it and take care of them, and punish the hard workers who come in everyday. It's the way it's always been. People these days want money for free. They don't want to work

COCINUT, your right I've noticed how lazy the new generation is too. Don't seem to want to earn a living the " blood ,sweat, and tears way". Unless you have a degree, your gonna earn it the old school way. Lol. Or welfare line.

I've got a feeling that some of the new hires are going to replace the current awolers just like what they did in Chicago. They hired 100 and the next week handed out 100 pink slips.

Welcome to the new reality. Young people now a days have no future. How many contracts in a row have we lost pay and benefits? I've lost count. Meanwhile our salaried and union leadership get periodic raises. This is not a sustainable "business model". Who's gonna keep buying these $70k (and the price keeps going up) trucks when only the top 1% of the population has ALL the wealth. Thanks union leadership for selling us all out all the while the company posts multi billion dollar profits every quarter. Don't matter if this coming contract passes or not, the company can modify it anytime they feel like it and union leadership will keep taking bribes and selling us out. Morale of my rant is that Ford/UAW, you reap what you sew. You don't pay somebody a living wage they have no choice but to live in moms basement, they have no real bills so doesn't matter to them if they lose this job or not. Those of us with mortgages and families have something to lose... Rant over for now

Amen! Plus new launch terms. In the old days they could do what they wanted during launch and that was fine being we only had a new product every ten yrs, but now the market demands change evey few yrs, so now we will always be in a launch. That means we're screwed every day.
