Referrals are being told they will be full time temps with no guarantee they will be hired in as permanent employees. No benefits No time off, no profit sharing, No paid holidays or vacation just health care. Who would take these jobs unless you live at home with your parents... any thoughts?

That is what LTS's get. When have they not hired all who make it? It's a foot in the door and nothing more.

Its a backwards ass way to hire people and it will one day bite them in the ass and is why a majority of those, NOT ALL, that they hire are constatly awol/medical/FMLA people. What responsible adult with a family would quit their job to take a temporary job in hopes of being hired on permanantely? Dont think alot of us would be here now if that was the situation when we were hired, i know i wouldnt have quit my job with a wife & baby & mortgage to take a temp job in hopes of getting hired on.

It limits the age group of who can apply. People have bills to pay and can't chance not having a job in 6 months. my referral was told that it was for a permanent full time job when they took the test. She would of walked out and not take the test if she knew it was for a temp job. Too much risk. This turns away a lot of good workers I would say

Agree, mostly young kids living at home that never had a real job. If i was in charge of hiring id hire guys/gals in there 20's/30's that have bills and kids to take care of, that usually motivates people to get out of bed and appreciate a decent paying job.

Lts's still get to vote. Come contract time, ratifying the agreement will give them permanent positions. How do you think they will vote. Ford did the same thing in 2011, they launched the Explorer in Chicago with an entire second shift of Lts's. Knowing they were permanent positions, but also knowing they could hold it over their head at contract time.

Why not just have a probation period like most jobs and do away with all the political BS.. Let's think about the people who really want a fair chance, not a risk where someone may not know they have a job..
