How many of you 2 tier employees plan on looking for another job if 2 tier pay is here to stay?

2 tier is here to stay like it or not.I feel their frustration but they don't feel ours!!I want a long over due raise and they do as well but when they get on these boards and start bashing us so called legacy it really pisses me off!! I've been busting my ass with this company for over 17 years and I don't appreciate there constant disrespect!! I would love them to abolish tiers all together but what is done is done!!

The two tier system isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Just read any recent comment from john Fleming, Ford's executive vice president of global manufacturing and labor affairs or dennis Williams our Uaw president.Their comments are filled with "closing the gap" and " must stay competitive" you never hear someone that will actually sit at the table say eliminate or due away with it. That being said the entry level employees that actually keep up with this stuff understand it and have accepted it.We know that we may never see tier one and a lot of us would be just fine if we could just "half" the 40% wage difference that we currently work under. We understand times have changed and we live in a global market now.

It's frustrating I get it!! Your time will come and u will be tier 1 but being mad at ur brothers and sisters is not the answer.if u want to be mad at someone be mad at the 30+ year employees their the ones that are screwing u!! I'm not fully up to date with how u roll to next tier but my guess is for every one that retires one gets moved up.if I'm wrong than feel free to educate me.

This is true. At this point as you've heard ford yell from the roof tops the cap has been met. So for everyone that leaves one moves up. But also on the flip side for every hundred that get hired only 80 move up, to keep the 80/20 going. Also this feeds into our frustration that a lot of you guys don't even know or care to know how it works. They could lay off the 9000 people below me and cause us others to be topped out below $20 for most of our 30 yrs. I honestly wasn't trying to disrespect you guys and girls I just don't see solidarity or mutual respect from the veteran members and I think it's a shame.

We have mutual respect for everyone..I work with a kid that's 21 and has a baby and and young step daughter.Guess what all he says is he HOPES he can get more money. But he never bitches moans and cries about anything.I have a lot of respect for a person like that and I hope he does move up .Good worker too and never misses.i also told him that if he don't get moved up I would consider another line of work.Theres nothing here for a young person..Never be on a decent shift and always in here..sucks..
