HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!!: Mother’s Day is May 10th and on behalf of the
entire LAP UAW Committee, we would like to wish all the Mother’s at The
Louisville Assembly Plant a very happy and blessed Mother’s Day! Thank you
for all that you do for your children and families!
VACATION SHUTDOWN: The Vacation Shutdown period has been confirmed and will be
the week of June 29th.
REBALANCE: LAP recently began its rebalance period. The rebalance period began
on April 13th and will continue through August 14th. All work moves will begin
on A Crew with an add/delete sit-down unless there is an agreement with the
Bargaining Committee to change the lead crew due to unavoidable issues (medical,
open job, etc). Please ensure that your District Committeeperson is involved in
any and all work move/add/delete sit-downs.
OPTIONAL LIFE INSURANCE OPEN ENROLLMENT: Open enrollment will run from April
13th thru May 22nd. You may enroll yourself, your spouse, and dependents by
going online at: www.unicare.com/ford or by calling 1-800-843-8184.
Representatives will be in the plant on Thursday, May 14th and Friday, May 15th
at the following times: 6:00 am, 9:00-9:30 am, 12:30 pm-6:00 pm, 9:00-9:30 pm,
and 12:30 am.
BEREAVEMENT: The Company is investigating and checking into ALL bereavement
claims to verify that they are qualifying relatives. So far, there have been
40 cases that the company found to be false claims. Please check with family
members to make sure of any relationship that you may be unsure of. Also, speak
with your Committeeperson regarding eligibility and duration of the qualifying
bereavement leave.
MARCH FOR BABIES: The annual March of Dimes March for Babies will be held
Saturday, May 9th. Registration will begin at 9:00 am on the Big 4 Lawn and
all participants must arrive by 9:30, and the walk will begin at 10:00. There
will be games and activities for the kids, so bring the whole family. Walk
T-Shirts benefitting March of Dimes will be available for a $15 donation.
ACH RETIRMENT AND SAVINGS PLAN TERMINATION: The ACH retirement and savings plan
was recently terminated on April 1st. Former ACH employees have three options
with these accounts: 1.) Rollover to the Tax-Efficient Savings Plan for Hourly
Employees (TESPHE), 2.) Rollover to an IRA or another tax-qualified plan, or 3.)
Withdraw all, or a portion, of your ACH Plan in cash. In order to facilitate
your election, eligible employees will need to contact Fidelity at
1-800-835-5097.
STATUS OF THE UNIFORM ALLOWANCE: The Arrow website is now online and working
properly. You can place your orders on the Arrow website at

THINGS TO REMEMBER:
Please check your DROTS on a daily basis and your paystubs on a weekly basis.
Please don’t assume that the amount deposited into your account on Fridays is
accurate. It is much easier to correct any and all pay issues the sooner they
are discovered.
Make sure that you keep your username and password updated so that you can
login to the pay stub site; www.at.ford.com and also so that you are able to
place bids when they come out, which are listed on the LAP homepage. Bids will
almost always come out on Tuesday afternoon and will remain open until the
following Monday evening at 11:59pm.
Due to recent manpower issues throughout the plant, please ensure that labor
relations has the correct phone number on file so that you may be contacted
should an OT opportunity arise that you may qualify. If you are unsure or have

Local 3000 Cindy Maynard, Barg. Rep. of Flat Rock, MI:
We have been in negotiations with the company for 9 weeks on our local
contract. We have agreed to nothing.
The Stamping Department began a 3 shift operation in April.
Recently UAW Local 3000 FRAP received awards from Consumer Reports for the
recommended best buy Mustang and Fusion.
Currently launching several derivatives of the 2015 Mustang. Left hand-Euro, PP
build in January 2015, SVT Shelby TT in February 2015 and Right hand drive in
March of 2015.
Local 2000 Mark Wells. Barg. Rep. of Sheffield Village, OH:
In March we switched from alternating shifts (two weeks on /two weeks off) to a
one shift operating pattern with a 4X10 work schedule.
Opened our Local Negotiations on March 30, 2015.
July 13, 2015 is the official launch date of the F-650/750.
We converted from Mass Relief to Tag Relief in January 2015. This helped to
create 33 additional jobs.
Local 900 Aaron Westaway, Barg. Rep. of Michigan Assembly Plant Wayne, MI:
A shift is being eliminated.
The company refuses to honor the O/T agreement settlement. A new grievance has
been filed, the liability in now 4.2 million.
We officially withdrew from M.W.T. agreement. The company has owed $0.28 per
hour for almost 5 years. All leaders have gone back to tools. The program was
working well, but once again the company refuses to honor an agreement.

Local 862 Rodney Janes, Barg Rep. of Kentucky Truck Plant:
Just hired another 100 entry level people (48 People on 3/17/15 and 52 people
on 3/23/15).
Converted 150 LTS to entry level on March 16, 2015
We are launching 2016 Super Duty’s in late May and launching 2016
Expedition/Navigators in late July.
In the middle of local negotiations right now.
Local 862 Barry Ford, Chairman of Louisville Assembly Plant:
The Plant will again increase volume in June by reporting a 10.3 schedule. With
the current speed of 83.5 units per hour, we can produce this volume in
approximately 10 hours.
The plant is currently in the process of hiring summer help. We have agreed to
hire 50 entry level and 250 LTS’s to help with absenteeism and regular
vacation/personal leaves.
MOS discussions continue between the Union and Local management. Our MOS
Coordinator is acting as a liaison between the Skilled Trades Committee and
Management. The Maintenance teams are starting in the Final area. There is no
Autonomous maintenance recognized at LAP.
Local 600 Nick Kotalis, President/Chairman of Dearborn Truck Plant, MI.:
LTS’s want to be flipped over to entry level.
Production schedule has been interrupted by Metulsa.
Three new Union Reps. (because of numbers).
Local 551 by Coby Millender, Chairman from Chicago Assembly, IL:
We have had 580 entry level members converted to New Traditional which has been
huge for morale at our plant this year.
Recently completed the Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Test at CAP for nearly
2000 members.
The Dolton Park District recently honored our Local for its Community
Involvement & Service within that community.
Local 249 by Todd Hillyard, Barg. Rep. from KCAP:
Opened Local Negotiations up at KCAP on April 6th.
We are still ramping up to full line speed on the F-150 side of the plant.
Frames have been a constraint and we have had to cancel production and short
shift due to the shortages several times.
Transit will pass the one year date April 28th so the mandatory 11 hours and
weekends will return to the master agreement language. The members in body and
paint have been on 11 hours for the last year due to the new automation not
running the JPH the company had hoped for.
Expanding the Fitness Center to make more room for some new equipment due to
the amount of members using the gym.
