Crew voluntary overtime opportunity.
VACATION SHUTDOWN: The Vacation Shutdown period has been confirmed and will be
the week of June 29th.
UNION OFFICE RELOCATION: The Union office has been temporarily relocated to the
education building on the south end of the building. The old Union office is
scheduled to be torn down to make room for the new aluminum hood line for the
body shop. The Union office numbers are still connected, working and can be
used to contact the Union.
MEMORIAL DAY CONVERSION: Memorial Day is a scheduled 10.5 overtime opportunity
for C Crew. All employees who have achieved seniority and work the Memorial
Day Holiday opportunity will have the ability to convert the holiday into
Personal/Excused Time. For C Crew employees who work the holiday will be able
to convert 10 hours since it is a normal work day and B Crew employees that work
will be able to convert 8 hours since it is an RDO day. If you work and wish
to be paid for the holiday, simply do nothing. If you wish to convert the
holiday into personal time, simply fill out the Holiday Conversion form (located
on the back of the update) and give it to your Process Coach no later than
Friday so it can be sent to CTO Payroll. For those employees who have June
eligibility who work and wish to convert, the time will carry over into your new
allotment of time.
WORK OR RETIRE CLASSES: We are offering a “Work or Retire” class or
classes depending on the number of folks who respond. It is one class that last

Bush @364-3659 and leave a message with your crew and a good contact number. We
will have a registration and informational meeting once we know we have the
minimum number to conduct the class. This is a very educational class for
anyone considering an upcoming retirement, and will help with your planning and
or evaluation of your current life situation.
REBALANCE: LAP recently began its rebalance period. The rebalance period began
on April 13th and will continue through August 14th. All work moves will begin
on A Crew with an add/delete sit-down unless there is an agreement with the
Bargaining Committee to change the lead crew due to unavoidable issues (medical,
