Good Afternoon,
In our effort to keep you updated, the below was received from our DC Office. It is not too late to call your member of congress and ask them to vote No on Fast Track!

State of Play
The House Republican leadership might bring up the bill as early as this Thursday or Friday for a vote. It could slip until next week because they don’t currently have the votes to pass it. The Administration, Republican leaders, and business lobbyists are pushing hard to secure a majority.
The vote in the House will be close. Only 21 out of 188 Democrats in the House have committed to voting yes, requiring Republicans to provide the bulk of support. Anywhere from 45-85 House Republicans could oppose the measure. Many conservatives who believe President Obama has already overstepped his bounds are wary of giving him additional authority.
Final congressional approval would give a boost to talks on the Asia-Pacific trade deal, which are already well into their fifth year.
We are currently calling undecided Democratic Members of Congress and Republican Members who may be inclined to defeat Fast Track. The AFL-CIO is on the air in 25 districts, and the Coalition to Stop Fast Track is running ads in Rep Ami Bera and Kathleen Rice’s districts after they switched to support Fast Track
Thank you for all you are doing, and we will continue to keep you updated.
