Hiring???

Hello i have had a couple people ask me how you get a job here and i wanted to know does anyone have any info on where to apply? I've been here 19 years so i don't know how they do things now. Any info would be appreciated.

Im with the other response. 19 years and you dont know how to do the referrals they pass out? Both people from my last 2 were hired. Weird

It's obvious that he's asking about applying directly without an employee referral.

Call the union hall and ask them if you can speak with an official who knows, hell the benefits reps might know ask for one of them. If they don't they could tell you who to ask that would know. I know in the past people applied at the unemployment office downtown (6th and Cedar) but I think they only took them if Ford was actively hiring at the time. Whether 6th and Cedar is presently taking them for Ford I'm not sure but someone in the union will be able to tell you that. Don't call the inplant office because any old committeeman on phone duty may not be in a position to know.

Obviously the first 2 replies were made by our retarded brothers in toil who are totally unaware that not every single new hire in there got an employee referral but *poof* here they are with a job. Its probably the water in the plant. Don't drink the water kiddos. Your $1.75 will be well spent...

I hired in thru 6th and cedar way back in the day. No referral. Of course, they were hiring so many there was a lady standing on the corner handing out apps to anyone who stopped to get one. No lie.

Thank you to the couple people that figured out what i forgot to mention i know we got referrals but SINCE then a couple of people have asked me. That's all. I asked committee man he didn't know so thought i would ask on here.
