IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION!! – As part of the National Negotiations it
is important for you to attend the Local 862 Membership Meetings on August 11th
2015 as to understand the process and be able to ask questions. There will be
UAW National Ford Department staff, along with Region 8 representatives in
attendance. Representatives and staff will range from administrative
assistances under Vice President Jimmy Settles, to Job Security Programs,
Benefits, and other important areas of personnel within the National Ford
Department. This month’s membership meetings will take place at the KTP Union
Hall at 12:00pm and 6:00pm. They will be present at both meetings.
LOCAL 862 STRIKE ASSISTANCE FOOD BANK – The Local 862 Strike Assistance Food
Bank will commence at the August 11th, 2015 12:00pm Membership Meeting. Any
member who wants to contribute to the food bank will have the opportunity to
bring non-perishable food items to the meetings. The collection of items will
continue until we have a contract ratification.
THE 2015 JDRF/FORD ONLINE AUCTION IS OPEN NOW! - Ford Motor Company and JDRF are
partnering for the eleventh year to present an exciting online auction, today
through Friday, August 7 until 10:00pm EDT. Items up for bid include sports
memorabilia, golf packages, jewelry, gift baskets and much more. The auction is
open to the public and can be found at this link:

CINCINNATI REDS BASEBALL TRIP–The UAW Local 862 Recreation Committee is
hosting a Cincinnati Reds Baseball Trip again this year. If you would like a
chance to win a trip to a Cincinnati Reds Baseball Game you can register at
either of the Local 862 Union Halls. The game is September 27th 2015. Our
Recreation Committee has tickets, a bus, and refreshments available for the
trip! The bus will leave the LAP Hall at 9:30am and the KTP Hall at 10:00am.
Approximate return is 8:00pm. You can visit uaw862.org and print a registration
form from the website. If more applications are received than tickets available,
a “lottery draw” will occur. If you are selected you will receive a phone
call by September 20, 2015.

Picnic which will be held at the Louisville Zoo on Labor Day September the
7th. Tickets are available within the plants and at each local union hall and
are $7.00 in advance and $9.00 purchased the day of the event at the Louisville
Zoo.
