The person whose name I submitted as a referral has already done his testing and got a letter today giving certain dates to choose from for a plant tour. He is suppose to call labor to let them know which date he wants. How does the hiring process go now? I've never heard of them doing it this way. He said that a few other people that he works with also got their letters.

I've never heard of that either. Maybe labor is finally being proactive and doing something about all the turds their bringing in. Give them a tour, brief interview, let them know that this is factory work. It's not for everybody.

I spoke with a union rep and he says that LAP is not hiring and actually is getting ready to lay off the LTS. He said that KTP now uses LAP applicants, this is new and was pushed for by Barry. I'll have my friend to check his letter again tomorrow to see if it is indeed from KTP.

Those LTS employees should be sent to KTP. At least they know about factory work. The ones we get over here now have non ideal.

My friend got the same letter and it says LAP??? So that's weird!

My friend comes in this Saturday @ 8:00 AM. for some type of plant tour and I guess an info meeting. What's going on when we are suppose to be laying off LTS's?

Info I received tonight: Applicants for KTP & LAP will now be put into a pool that is good for both plants. However, unsure if you are called whether or not you can pass and hold out for the other plant. LAP medical dept is giving physicals for KTP applicants to help them out. The "plant tour" that we are hearing about is to let these folks see what the work is like. They are thinking that maybe some folks will say hell no this isn't for me instead of being hired and then quitting somewhere down the road. The plant you tour has nothing to do with which plant you may be called to.

just because your an LTS doesn't mean they`re going to hire you. Some LTS don't work out for whatever reason and now is the time to let there sorry asses go. We don't need anymore lazy ass people in here playing the medical game.

Update: My friend came in for his "tour" Saturday. They are being considered for KTP. They were told that LAP is laying off some people and that they will go to KTP ahead of anyone being considered for employment.
