I don't know?I was told that you can't work more than 12 hrs a day but that's bullshit...People on my team work 16-18hrs on a regular basis..CP told me it was a rule?I said what about when people work doubles during snow days,is it a rule then ?He didn't answer..Reason I'm asking I trained a person from Utrim to do my job on Saturday so she could come in and do it on Sunday??She wasn't even from Body shop.1 year seniority and I have 20??Thats fucked up

They change the rules as they go. I've been told that 12 was the max I could do on some occasions, and on others it was double or nothing. Saw more than one guy work a full 24hr straight in the body shop.

12 is all they can pay you in regards to what Detroit will recognize and then they pay you on other days so you get what you are owed. I have worked many 14-22 hour days...many moons ago...we could work our 10 hour shift...do clean up between shifts and then pick up a Saturday 8 hour shift after that for a total of something like 22.5 hours...they do what they want. They will tell you that you can't work more than 12, but as soon as they need you, you can somehow work 36 straight hours or as many as you can.

there is no limit to the amount you can work as long as anything above 12 hours has a note sent to payroll or it gets kicked out...the only rule is you must have 8 hours between shifts

Yea that gets old This week it's a hard safety rule that you can only work 12 hour a day Next week it's not a rule. It'd truly be funny if not for that fact that our retirement is tied directly to the successful management of the company by these greedy souls who daily perform such piss poor management

My thing is if it is a RULE the union should enforce it ...Then they would either add more people to each shift or hire some people..Why have rules if they only apply when it helps the Co.Or how about we make rules and only follow them when we feel like it?Its bullshit either way.
