As many of you know that Ford outsourced the layout guys who used to travel on launches. Ford bought Troy Design and it is now named (CVC) Craftmanship Verification Center. They do the build there before we ever see it in our plants. They have all the PCF fixtures, bucks, etc. They now travel on launch, they are salaried layout guys who are non union. They will lie and say they are ford. They are not allowed to touch anything here at LAP.

Nothing new.
TDM had been the ones working on several launches from fixtures , programming and CM4D data tables for years. If your plants building chair and trades rep sign a labor clearance for them to come in they do.
I would rather have the pilot plant guys do the work or assist over TDM. Some of the fixtures supplied thru TDM are total junk and no way a gauge R&R passed using them.

We already have 3 Layout Inspectors from the Pilot Plant (they are buck guys) and 5 more are to be here today. TDM & CVC are out of the building...they left in a hurry when they found out the VO guys were coming. Our building chairman & skilled trades chairman have been fighting this battle, along with the union from the Pilot Plant. I think they have succeeded in keeping TDM & CVC out, but you always have to be vigilant. All of the fixtures are starting to arrive. We have also had the support of upper level company people who realize the importance of doing this in house.

Our plant had guys on layoff ( trades ) while TDM AND a pilot plant guy were working in the department.
I bet that has never happened at any other plant.......so much for "union" representation.
