ORDER BANK:

UPCOMING UNION MEETING: The next month’s Union Meeting will be held at the
KTP Chamberlain Lane Union Hall on Tuesday, October 13th. The meeting times
will be 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Please make every effort to attempt to try and
attend one of these meetings.
WAGE WORKS HEALTH CARE CARDS: A reminder to all Entry Level Employees
regarding the Wage Works Health Care cards. Please keep in mind that you must
use the remaining balance on your 2015 card by December 31st, 2015. Any and
all remaining balances will not carry-over to 2016 and will be forfeited. You
must submit any and all claims for services provided in 2015 no later than March
31, 2016. Your card will automatically be reset with a new balance for the
2016 calendar year.
FREE FLU SHOTS: There will be a free flu shot clinic in the plant on Monday,
September 28th, Tuesday, September 29th, and Friday, October 2nd for all active
Ford employees with a sponsored Ford Healthcare Insurance. Employees will be
required to provide their Healthcare Insurance Card in order to receive the flu
shot. Flu shots will only be administered to Ford employees with provided
insurance. This will not be offered with cash payments or available to
contractors or vendors. The schedule on all three days will be as follows:
Main Cafeteria from 6:00 am – 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm—9:30 pm or in the Paint
Cafeteria from 6:00 am—10:00 am and 5:00 pm—9:30 pm. Any questions

NORTHWOOD UNIVERSITY: We are happy to announce that UAW-ETAP approved
Northwood University will continue offering accelerated Associate and Bachelor
degree programs onsite to Ford/UAW employees for the fast approaching fall 2015
semester. Even better, they are still providing over a 35% discount off of
tuition to LAP & KTP Ford/UAW employees and this discount applies to all classes
including online, classes at either KY plant, or at the Northwood campus here in
Louisville, KY. Most classes are 8 weeks long and onsite courses meet for only 3
hours a week! Your current ETAP benefit will cover up to 18 college credit
hours per year at Northwood with no cost to you! The fall session begins soon
and classes are filling up! Get started now to utilize your UAW negotiated
education benefit and begin your journey toward earning your degree. For more

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY: The Chaplaincy Committee will be presenting a Women’s
Bible Study offered at the Ron Gettlefinger Union Hall on Fern Valley Road on
Tuesday nights beginning October 6th. The Bible Study will begin at 6:30 pm
and run until 8:30 pm, and will cost $10. The Study will be entitled
“Breathe” and will be led by Priscilla Shirer. If interested, please

UAW LOCAL 862 BASS TOURNAMENT: Local 862 will host a Bass Tournament on
Sunday, October 11th at Barren River Lake—State Ramp. The Bass Tournament
check in time is 7:15 and the actual tournament will begin at 7:30 am (or safe
light) and will end at 3:30 pm Louisville time. The entry fee is $60 per boat,
and all entry fees (less expenses) will be paid out as prize money. The
deadline for all entries is October 2nd, no exceptions. Please make money
orders payable to UAW LOCAL 862. Please call the LAP Union Hall at (502)

WORLD’S LARGEST HALLOWEEN PARTY AT THE ZOO: The UAW Local 862 Community
Services Committee is asking for 75-100 volunteers to participate on Saturday,
October 3rd from 3:30 pm – 9:00 pm. All active employees and retirees
(children 16 and older can receive volunteer credit if applicable) are welcome
to participate, and dress up in friendly costumes. Sign-ups will be held at
the monthly UAW Membership Meetings. Please call Vera Newton at (502) 969-9136

JDRF ONE WALK FOR A WORLD WITHOUT TYPE 1 DIABETES: The JDRF walk has become the
Flagship Fundraising event to communicate the group’s focus on one single
goal: Creating a world without Type 1 Diabetes. The event will be held on
October 17th with a check in at 11:00 am, and the walk will begin at 12:00 pm.
The walk will be 2 miles and will begin at Churchill Downs at 700 Central
