Notice of Nominations / Membership Meeting Nominations will be taken at the October 13th Membership Meeting for the unexpired term of:
· KTP Bargaining Committeeperson (1 to be elected)
· KTP Unassigned Production District Committeeperson (10 to be elected)
To accept a nomination a “Candidate Agreement & Acceptance Form” must be personally submitted to one of the Election Committee Co-Chairs or given to one of the secretaries at the union hall by 3:00pm Friday, October 16, 2015.
elECTIONS – Polls open Thursday, October 29th at 5:00am and close Friday, October 30th at 7:30pm at the Chamberlain Lane Union Hall.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer- Shirts will be for sale at the October 13th Membership Meetings. The shirts are v-neck in short sleeve ($15) and long sleeve ($20). If they sell out they will reorder more. The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk will be October 25th at 1:00pm at Waterfront Park. These shirts can also be purchased at the LAP cafeteria store.
Real Men Wear Pink – It is my honor to take part in this years “Real Men Wear Pink Campaign” in support of my mother, a cancer survivor, and for all of our members and/or their mothers, sisters, aunts, etc. who have had to fight breast cancer. Please support this great cause by making a donation to the UAW862 fund raising effort. Go to www.makingstrides.acsevents.org then go to “Find an Event”, select “KY”, and then “Real Men Wear Pink of Louisville”. Click the link next to my picture that will take you to our donation page. Your donation, in any amount, will directly help the American Cancer Society.

“WHET YOUR PALETTE” – The Local 862 Recreation Committee is hosting a special paint event and you’re invited! Sunday, November 1st, from 2-5pm (doors open @ 1:30pm) at the Fern Valley Road Union Hall. This event is FREE for UAW 862 members and $20 per guest. You must RSVP by 3:00pm, October 23, 2015. (All Supplies provided) Contact the halls for more info.
AUTUMN ON THE RIVER FESTIVAL AND PARADE IN BETHLEHEM, IN – The 23rd Annual Festival will be October 17th (10:00 am – 6:00 pm) and October 18th (12:00 noon – 5:00 pm). For more information visit autumnontheriver.wordpress.com
