This will be a mistake if the union get rid of the hiring caps and replace it with the 8 year progression simply because many will roll over next year if ford hires as many as expected. Most that will roll next year have about 4 to 5 years seniority

Ridiculous...the idea of an 8 tier system sucks even more....but at least they have a job...and they can reach full pay eventually, where now they had no hope with no caps at FCA.

I don't know about other plants in the system, but LAP hired a shit load of people between 1988 and mid to late 90's.Many of these people will be retiring in the next 3 to 5 years. When that happens there will be a lot of people moving into top tier. I believe that it would be a huge mistake to allow Ford to remove caps. There is no way we should agree to any thing that stretched out over 8 years. Vote NO!!! to any contract that removes 20% cap or that has anymore than 2 tiers.

They're just putting it out there to get us to turn it down and then come back to the 20% cap and make it seem like they did something for us.
