Several times 862 has overwhelming voted down a contract or concession yet no other plant ever has percentages close to ours. All this time I though us county folks had balls and brains now I realize that all we really have is an electronic voting machine. The Yankees may have balls and brains too but as long as they have a ballot box we'll never know. That needs to change.

I thought 862 voted in favor of 2011 contract?? I agree with the machines but the response I hear from people is "machines can be hacked too".

I thought 862 voted in favor of 2011 contract?? I agree with the machines but the response I hear from people is "machines can be hacked too". My memory is terrible but I think you're right about 2011 but it seems like our local voted down the concessionary agreement but it still passed. |

Let's just move on...We should be glad we have a contract with all of the uncertainty in the world...After 9/11 happened, we instantly went to 8 hours and the economic downturn was on us...I'm thankful that I have a good job and a new contract...Tomorrow is not guaranteed...A bird in the hand vs 2 in the bush
