Hello. I have recently been offered a skilled trades position at KTP. It is my understanding that 4 crew AWS will start in February. I live in Ohio and plan to get an apartment and commute back to Ohio on my long weekends for awhile until we can get some things in order here back in Ohio.
I have seen the proposed schedule like they run at LAP. I know two crews (days & nights) have every Mon & Tues off and the other two (days & nights) have every Thurs & Fri off with alternating weekends and Wednesdays on all crews. My question is which of the schedules is typically considered least desireable as that is the one I would likely be on coming in at the bottom of the seniority ladder?

To look at placements so far the "A" crew is least desirable. it is a 7p to 7a shift with Thursday and Fridays off. One week you would have a 3 day weekend and the next would be a 4 day weekend. Believe this to be true for all skill sets but depending on trade it could be different. Next least desired shift seems to be the 7a to 7p shift, same off days

You have to be in every Sunday night starting at 7pm.

So the Monday shift actually starts on Sunday? Wow that really stinks.

Yep, seems like A 7p-7a is the least desired followed by B 7a-7p. It might be different depending trade or available slots in certain areas. If I were you I'd plan for A shift.

A or C since you get the 12.5% shift differential(nights).
