UAW LOCAL 862 BLACK BASS TOURNAMENT – The UAW Local 862 Recreation Committee will present this event at Green River Lake – Holmes Bend on Sunday, April 10, 2016. Entry fee: $60.00 per boat and it will begin at 7:30 a.m. (or safe light) to 3:30 p.m., Louisville time. All entry fees (less expenses) to be returned as prize money. The entry deadline is April, 1, 2016 – no exceptions. 1st Big Fish Lunker $300. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies will also be awarded – total weight. Starting positions will be determined in the order entries are received. BOTH participants in each boat must be a dues paying member of Local 862, in good standing. UAW LOCAL 862 ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT – Mark your calendars for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 25, 2016 (Good Friday) from 4:30pm through 7:30pm at the LAP Union Hall Gym, at 3000 Fern Valley Road, for children from 6 months up to 10 years old. The rear gym doors will open at 4:30pm and the hunt will begin at 6:30pm. Due to the location change details of the hunt will be available at the event. There will be bouncies, a slide, face painters, balloons, and snacks at the event.
2016 OWEN C. HAMMONS SCHOLARSHIP - UAW Local 862 initiated the Owen C. Hammons Scholarship Fund in 1988. Annually, Local 862 awards three $2,000.00 scholarships to the sons, daughters, stepsons, or stepdaughters of UAW Local 862 members. Applicants must be a high school senior and must be accepted into a U.S. accredited college or university, community college, technical or trade school at the time the award is issued. More information and applications are available at either UAW Local 862 union halls. Your complete application must be received before 1:00pm EST on Tuesday, February 2, 2016.
FRIENDS AND FAMILY LIMITED-TIME A/Z CONQUEST PIN PROGRAM - To help celebrate another great year at Ford, U.S. employees and retirees will be given one additional A/Z PIN for use between Jan. 8 and Feb. 29, 2016, to share with extended family, friends, or neighbors. The unique, limited-time program, called A/Z-Plan Conquest PIN, is designed to encourage employees to become brand ambassadors and help attract new conquest customers to the Ford and Lincoln brands. Employees and retirees are free to give the one additional PIN to someone they know who currently drives a competitive vehicle or has a competitive vehicle that is a 1995 or newer in their immediate household. Current lease customers are not required to terminate their lease and current owners are not required to trade in their vehicle. To generate an A/Z-Plan Conquest PIN you can call 1-800-348-7709 or visit www.axz.ford.com and select “Generate a PIN, Generate PIN for someone else,” and take the following simple steps:
1. Select Plan Type “Family A/Z (including A/Z-Plan Conquest)”
2. In “Relationship” drop-down menu, select “A/Z-Plan Conquest.”

REMINDER: The KTP Blood Drive will be held Wednesday January 27th at the Administration Building and the Bloodmobile Bus which will be located outside in front of Door 104 at Pre-delivery. It will be 7:00am to 1:00pm #2 shift and A Crew, and 5:00pm to 11:00pm #3 shift and B Crew.
