UPCOMING LOCAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS: The next monthly membership meeting will
take place on Tuesday, April 12th at the KTP Union Hall. The times of the
meetings will be at 12 pm and 6 pm. All members are urged to attend one of the
meetings. There will also be an opportunity for any and all new members to be
sworn in.
2016/2017 MODEL CHANGE: The Louisville Assembly Plant will soon be
transitioning from the 2016 model year to the 2017 model year. The last day
for the 2016 model year production will be Sunday, March 20th. The 2017 model
year will launch on Monday, March 21st. Please be aware of possible changes in
the facility when you arrive on Monday, March 21st. C CREW SCHEDULE CHANGE:
There has been a start time change for C Crew on Sunday, March 20th. Instead
of working the normal 6 pm C Crew start, C Crew will instead work a 6 am start
time. This change is due to the last day of production for the 2016 Model
Year. There will be a need to maneuver and change out stock across the entire
plant, move stock racks, and make other alterations before the facility is ready
to run production for the 2017 Model Year the following day.
C CREW SCHEDULING CHANGE: There has been a scheduling change made for C Crew
for the upcoming Easter Weekend. The National Agreement has the Easter
holidays listed as Friday, March 25th (Good Friday) and Monday, March 28th
(Monday after Easter). Due to the outgoing support of C Crew wanting to adjust
the holiday schedule to be off for the actual Easter holiday, The National Ford
Department has approved the request by the Local Leadership to honor C Crew’s
wishes and move the holiday dates to Sunday, March 27th (Easter) and Monday,
March 28th (Monday after Easter). Holiday pay will be paid for the Sunday and
Monday dates as applies to the National Agreement. For Easter weekend, C Crew
will have the following schedule: There will be No loss or No Gain by moving
Easter Sunday to Friday the 25th.

PATHWAY TO THE SKILLED TRADES APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM: With the ratification of
the 2015 CBA, the pathway to the UAW/Ford Apprenticeship Program has been
changed. Informational meetings have been scheduled for all production crews
in Conference Room B (upstairs in the Administration Building). Times and
dates are as follows: A Crew—April 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th from 5:30 to 6:30,
B Crew—April 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th from 4:30 to 5:30, and C
Crew—April 8th and 9th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, and April 10th and 11th from 4:30
pm to 5:30 pm. Please attend one of these hour long town hall sessions for
information regarding the Industrial Readiness Certificate Program. Those
eligible for admittance are ALL Full Time UAW/Ford hourly employees and ALL Full
Time Salary employees.
RIDERS FOR HEROES: Riders for Heroes is a group of motorcycle enthusiasts
associated with the UAW, dedicated to those who serve our communities and our

CORRECTIVE EYE SURGERY: Effective, January 1, 2016, a maximum benefit of $295
is payable towards corrective eye surgery in any 4 (Four) year period. The
coverage included any pre and post-surgical professional services, facility
expenses, and medically necessary supplies performed by an ophthalmologist. A
covered person may not receive benefits for corrective eye surgery and
frames/contacts in the same calendar year. Following the procedure, the
individual will not be eligible for frames or lenses for the next 3 years.
Members receiving corrective eye surgery may submit their receipt along with the
claim form to Single Vision Solution, PO Box 464, Mt. Clemons, MI 48046. A

FRIENDS AND FAMILY LIMITED-TIME A/Z CONQUEST PIN PROGRAM: The initial offer
has been extended and to help celebrate another great year at Ford, U.S.
employees and retirees will be given one additional A/Z PIN for use between Jan.
8 and April 4, 2016, to share with extended family, friends, or neighbors. The
unique, limited-time program, called A/Z-Plan Conquest PIN, is designed to
encourage employees to become brand ambassadors and help attract new conquest
customers to the Ford and Lincoln brands. Employees and retirees are free to
give the one additional PIN to someone they know who currently drives a
competitive vehicle or has a competitive vehicle in their immediate household.
Current lease customers are not required to terminate their lease and current
owners are not required to trade in their vehicle. To generate an A/Z-Plan
Conquest PIN you can call 1-800-348-7709 or visit www.axz.ford.com and select
“Generate a PIN, Generate PIN for someone else,” and take the following
simple steps:
Select Plan Type “Family A/Z (including A/Z-Plan Conquest)”
In “Relationship” drop-down menu, select “A/Z-Plan Conquest.”
KENTUCKY KINGDOM AND HURRICANE BAY DISCOUNT: Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane
Bay Waterpark will offer discounted one-day admission tickets to all UAW/Ford
Employees. The tickets are printed at the time of purchase and are valid on
any regular operating day for the 2016 season. Please refer to the website,
www.kentuckykingdom.com for operating days and hours. The Company code is
UAWL16 and the date issued is 3/3/2016. The ticket price will be $34.95 plus
tax.
UAW ESSP GRIEF SUPPORT GROUP: If you are interested in being a part of

hoping to begin this program at the beginning of April.
LOCAL CONTRACT UPDATE: Your Bargaining Committee is currently meeting and
negotiating the LAP Local Agreement with the company. They are working very
diligently to offer our membership the very best local agreement possible.

UAW LOCAL 862 ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT: This year’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held
on Good Friday, which is March 25th from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm at the LAP Union
Hall Gym. This event will be held for children 6 months old up to the age of
10. The Hunt itself will begin at 6:30 pm. There will also be
“bouncies,” a slide, face painting, balloons, and snacks at the event from
4:30 pm until 6:30 pm. There will also be a drawing held at 6:45 where prizes
will be awarded at the end of the hunt. We hope that all of our Local 862
Brothers, Sisters, and Families will be able to attend.
B- 12 SHOTS: The B-12 shots are currently being offered at the LAP Union Hall
on Tuesdays and Fridays during the month of March. The program will initially
offer these treatments between the hours of 3 pm and 7 pm, but may be adjusted
at a later date. The price of the B12 shots will be $15 and the price for the
B12, Supercharge B12, and Vitamin D will be 3 for $33. There is a possibility
of other services that may follow, such as Laser Hair removal, Botox injections,
just to name a few. If you have any questions, please contact one of the Local
ESSP reps: Kevin Bush, Tina Jenkins or Jeff Hale.
FIRST QUARTER 2016 SPECIAL VOLUNTARY SEPARATION PROGRAM AND SPECIAL RETIREMENT
INCENTIVE OFFERING: There two offerings available for eligible UAW employees.
The Special Termination of Employment Program (STEP) is for full time active non
skilled Legacy and skilled employees hired prior to November 19, 2007.
Employees who voluntarily terminate their employment under the STEP program will
receive a lump sum cash payment, in the form of a check for $70,000 (gross,
pre-tax amount). The second option is the Special Retirement Incentive (SRI)
is for those that have 30 or more years of credited service under the Ford-UAW
Retirement Plan or are 55 years of age with 10 or more years of credited service
under the Ford-UAW Retirement Plan or are at least 65 years of age with one or
more years of credited service under the Ford-UAW Retirement Plan. Employees
who meet one of the above 3 SRI eligibility requirements by November 30, 2016
will be able to apply for the SRI. During the application period. Employees
who retire under the SRI will receive a lump sum cash payment, in the form of a
check for $70,000 for non-skilled and skilled trades employees (gross, pre-tax
amount). The sign up period will be February 15, 2016 thru March 21, 2016.
These forms are available in the Labor Relations Office and can be filled out in
the Labor Relations Office.
SPECIALTY OPPORTUNITY TO RETURN ZONE OF HIRE: The one time sign up window for
the return to zone of hire will be Monday, February 15th until Monday, March
21st. Eligible employees will include those who elected an out of zone
opportunity since 3/13/2009 but prior to the conclusion of the sign up window.
This will include legacy employees who elected the Enhanced/Modified Enhanced
Moving Allowances, as well as former Ford Temporary and ACH Hourly Employees who
accepted a Ford Entry Level Position. Available opportunities will be offered
to eligible employees on this list by zone as they arise after exhausting the
preferential placement hierarchy steps but prior to hiring from the street.
Employees from a closed pant in a zone where no locations remain will be
considered for opportunities in the zone of their job assignment immediately
following the plant closure. Available opportunities will be offered in order
of the employee’s Ford Service Date (highest to lowest); skilled employees
will be considered in seniority order based upon their Date of Entry (highest to
lowest) followed by Ford Service Date if necessary. If needed, the last four
of the employee’s Social Security Number would be the final tiebreaker
(highest to lowest—9999 will be greater than 0000). There will be no moving
allowance payable and the new location will become the employee’s Basic Unit
Location. There is no guarantee that an opportunity will become available
during the term of the 2015 CBA. If you are interested in signing up, please

OPTIONAL LIFE AND ACCIDENT INSURANCE OPEN ENROLLMENT: The optional Life and
Accident Insurance will have its open enrollment for 2016 from March 14th thru
April 22nd. Sterling Insurance will have representatives in the plant at a
future date to answer any questions and assist participants in the enrollment
process. You can also enroll once the period opens by calling 1-800-843-8184
or by going online at www.unicare.com/ford. You may enroll yourself, your
spouse, and dependents. New enrollees may elect the first two levels of life
insurance coverage without proof of insurability. If you are already enrolled,
you may increase your life insurance coverage by one level without proof of
insurability. The Sterling Insurance Group will be at the Louisville Assembly
Plant Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (4/4-4/6) at the following times: 5 am
– 10 am and 5 pm – 1 am to answer questions and assist members in getting
registered.
UAW LOCAL 862 BASS TOURNAMENT: The UAW Local 862 Bass Tournament will be held
on Sunday, April 10th at 7:30 AM (or safe light) to 3:30 PM. The entry fee
will be $60 per boat and the deadline to register will be April 1st, and there
will be NO exceptions. The prizes that will be awarded are as follows: 1st
Big Fish Lunker--$300, along with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be
awarded according to total weight. All entry fees must accompany entry form in
the way of money orders only. Check in time the day of the tournament will be
7:15 and you must return no later than 3:30 or your catch will not be allowed.
You can make money orders payable to UAW Local 862 and mail the entry form and
the entry fee to UAW Local 862—Bass Tournament, 3000 Fern Valley Road,

TPT AND STS EMPLOYEES: The 2015 National agreement allows the company to hire
TPT’s (temporary part time) to be used for long term medical, FMLA, and
unscheduled absence coverage and STS’s (short term supplemental) In the next
few months. STS employees are to cover summer vacations, as well as Launch
support. All of the STS’s will be assigned to B and C Crews allowing the
senior member from those crews to be able to come to day shift. Neither of these
temporary status employees will acquire seniority.
