WATERSTEP PROJECT FOR FLINT MICHIGAN - KTP Community Service Committee and the Ford Human Resource Department have been working with WaterStep along with Louisville Water, MSD, Metro Louisville Foundation to help the citizens of Flint Michigan. You have probably noticed WaterStep boxes set up for you to donate shoes to help fund the Greater Flint Community Foundation. By donating your new and gently used shoes to WaterStep, you’ll help fund safe drinking water for Flint Michigan. The goal is to collect 30,000 pairs of shoes that can be converted into a $15,000 donation. We will collect shoes up until April 15, 2016. UAW 862 Education Committee Is seeking new members – The Education Committee is seeking UAW 862 members who are motivated to learn, get involved, and educate other members. If you would like to know more about the committee, you are welcome to join us at our meeting on Sunday April 17 at 4:00pm and the LAP Union Hall on Fern Valley Road.
USA’s 2017 UAW Calendar Photo Contest - Get your outdoor photo featured in the Union Sportsmen’s Alliance’s 2017 UAW Calendar and you will receive a free calendar, which qualifies you for entry in the USA’s 52-gun sweepstakes. Plus, earn a chance to win a Colt Mustang Pocketlite .380 SS handgun simply by submitting your photo. They will accept photos in a variety of categories including: hunting, fishing, nature scenery, wildlife, outdoor recreation (hiking, kayaking, etc.), and families in the outdoors. 17th Annual JDRF Golf Scramble - Hosted by UAW-Ford KTP employees. This event will be held at Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg, IN. Sunday, June 12th, 2016 (2 Flights). Registration: 6:15am to 7:15am. Shotgun Start: 7:30 am and 1:30 pm, Rain or Shine! The cost is $200 per person due upon registration. First come-first serve basis to the first 288 paid entries. Lunch is 12:00pm for both flights. All proceeds benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Registration forms can be picked up in Salary Personnel, the KTP Cares Store, or from either UAW 862 union hall.
