JA BIZTOWN CAMP 2016 : Unleash your child’s inner Entrepreneur at JA’s
BizTown Camp 2016. BizTown Camp is for kids ages 9-12 and it runs 9:00am –
4:00pm at the centrally-located James W. Robinson Junior Achievement Center for
Freedom of Enterprise located at 1401 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd, Louisville, Y 40203,
(502) 561-5437. JA Biztown Camp gives kids the opportunity to experience what
it’s like to work in a job and run a business. But it’s much more than that.
Weeks available are June 20-24, June 27-July 1 and July 11-15. UAW/Ford members

A/Z PLAN PIN PROGRAM EXPANDS: Now thru June 30, 2016, Ford is expanding the
traditional A/Z Plan Program, which gives employees and retirees four A/Z Plan
PINS each year for personal use or to share with immediate family members. The
expansion will include aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. This Plan PINS can
be found at www.azx.ford.com and select “Generate a PIN” and from there
follow the directions listed. Any questions or concerns can be either found in
the website listed above or by calling 1-800-348-7709.
RIDERS FOR HEROES: Riders for Heroes is a group of motorcycle enthusiasts
associated with the UAW, dedicated to those who serve our communities and our
country. Please take a moment to look at their Facebook page, Riders for
Heroes, or see Jeff Bailey, Mike Parker, Lee Bush or Gayle Parker in regards to
questions or additional information.
SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION: Congratulations to the winners of the Lewis Sexton
Scholarship; Samantha Crawford, Taylor Garrison, and Elliann Yocum. Each
recipient will receive a $5000 scholarship award for an accredited four-year
college in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The recipients will be presented with
their scholarship awards at the night Membership Meeting on May 10th.
KENTUCKY KINGDOM AND HURRICANE BAY DISCOUNT: Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane
Bay Waterpark will offer discounted one-day admission tickets to all UAW/Ford
Employees. The tickets are printed at the time of purchase and are valid on

DROTS and PAY: Please remember to check your DROT daily and check your pay stubs
on a weekly basis. Your DROT should be hung in an agreed upon area within your
team or by the Supervisor’s desk. You can access your pay stubs via the
internet at www.at.ford.com Please DO NOT assume that your time is being put in
correctly. Please double check and ensure that you are earning a fair day’s
pay for a fair day’s work.
PAID PLANNED DAY OFF PROCESS - (per Local Agreement pg. 37) Every Process Coach
will have a calendar on which he/she will denote any requests which they
received from their hourly employees to be off during a scheduled workday.
Requests for days off will not be accepted less than at least one week in
advance but no more than 30 days of the requested day off and will only be
accepted during any full Crew/Shift to be worked during this 30 day period.
(e.g., the earliest opportunity an employee could request time off would be the
beginning of the first full Crew/Shift within the 30 day period prior to the day
off requested). Days off must be requested in writing and will be handled on a
first come basis, however, in the event multiple requests are received within
the same Crew/Shift for the same day off, seniority will be the daily tiebreaker
in granting paid excused absence request (s). The Process Coach will write the
employee's name on the calendar, on the date the employee desires to be off from
work. At the same time, employee form (Employee Request for Planned Day off with
Pay) will be processed. Failure to respond to the employee's written request,
more than two scheduled working days after the request is made, will
automatically excuse the employee's absence.
EMPLOYEE SUPPORT SERVICES PROGRAM (ESSP) The Employee Support Services Program
(ESSP) supports UAW-represented Ford workers and their families with a variety
of services during changes or difficult decision-making times. At the core of
ESSP is the Employee Assistance Plan (EAP). The Plan provides employees and
their families a voluntary and confidential way to obtain counseling, support or
professional assistance. ESSP is the source for information on wellness
activities and for consultation regarding personal decisions. For more
