MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS WALK: On Saturday 5/21(10 am) Louisville Water Tower will
be hosting its 28th annual MS Walk to raise money for research to help in early
detection of MS for Louisville families. UAW/Ford is one of the major sponsors
of this event. Show your support and come down to the Water Tower located at the
intersection of River Road and Zorn Ave. Parking will be in the grass at
Louisville Water Tower Park. Register or Volunteer at
main.nationalmssociety.org .
UAW GRIEF SUPPORT: The UAW Grief Support group launched on Monday April 18th.
Support group will meet the 1st Monday of each month at 5pm next meeting will be
June 6th. If interested or for more information, please contact the ESSP Rep on

VACATION SHUTDOWN: Consistent with Article IX, Section 25 (b) of the Collective
Bargaining Agreement, I advised you in a letter dated January 29, 2016; that the
Louisville Assembly Plant will be taking a vacation shutdown. The shutdown
period is now confirmed for the week of July 4th, 2016. The last production day
(C-crew) will be July 3rd. A-Crew and C-crew return to work on July 11th,
2016.
FLAGS4VETS 2016 MEMORIAL DAY VIGIL: Adult and kid volunteers are needed to place
15,000 veterans’ grave flags on the Great Lawn at Waterfront Park; where Floyd
Street meet the Ohio River beginning at noon on Saturday May 28th, 2016. For

UNION LABEL COMMITTEE: The union workers at the Southside Nabisco Chicago Bakery
are asking the American consumers to reject Nabisco products made in Mexico and
instead, buy those that are produced in America in support of American jobs.
Nabisco recently laid 277 employees in Chicago and transferred that work to
lower paying wages in Mexico. There is also a list of Union made Products on the
UAWLAP.org website. Please keep these products in mind when you go shopping for
all your Memorial Day supplies. When you buy these products you are helping
support our fellow union brothers and sisters!
B- 12 SHOTS: The B-12 shots have started at the LAP Union Hall on Tuesdays and
Fridays at the LAP Union Hall. The program will initially offer these
treatments between the hours of 3 pm and 7 pm, but may be adjusted at a later
date. The price of the B12 shots will be $15 and the price for the B12,
Supercharge B12, and Vitamin D will be 3 for $33. With other services to follow
such as Laser Hair removal, Botox injections, just to name a few. If you have
any questions, please contact one of the Local ESSP reps: Kevin Bush, Tina
Jenkins or Jeff Hale.
UAW-Ford Community Engagement Scholarship for Dependent Children: Apply at
www.myuawford.com. Deadline is June 1st 2017 for classes started in the 2016
school year .F.A.Q. and volunteer service form can be found at
www.uawford.org/scholarships download the volunteer form fill it out and have it
signed by an approved 5013 (c ) (3) then scan it to your computer and upload it
to the application when you fill it out . The $1500 hundred will be paid out in
$500 payments spread across multiple paychecks to reduce the taxes withheld.
Program is for each qualifying dependent, if both parents are employees and
there is 1 student they can only claim 1 $1500 Scholarship.
JA BIZTOWN CAMP 2016 : Unleash your child’s inner Entrepreneur at JA’s
BizTown Camp 2016. BizTown Camp is for kids ages 9-12 and it runs 9:00am –
4:00pm at the centrally-located James W. Robinson Junior Achievement Center for
Freedom of Enterprise located at 1401 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd, Louisville, Y 40203,
(502) 561-5437. JA Biztown Camp gives kids the opportunity to experience what
it’s like to work in a job and run a business. But it’s much more than that.

A/Z PLAN PIN PROGRAM EXPANDS: Now thru June 30, 2016, Ford is expanding the
traditional A/Z Plan Program, which gives employees and retirees four A/Z Plan
PINS each year for personal use or to share with immediate family members. The
expansion will include aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. This Plan PINS can
be found at www.azx.ford.com and select “Generate a PIN” and from there
follow the directions listed. Any questions or concerns can be either found in
the website listed above or by calling 1-800-348-7709.
WOUNDED WARRIORS PARKING: Around the plant we have designated parking spots for
wounded and/or disabled veterans. Please be respectful to our veterans. If
you’re not a wounded or disabled veteran please don’t park in these spots.
KENTUCKY KINGDOM AND HURRICANE BAY DISCOUNT: Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane
Bay Waterpark will offer discounted one-day admission tickets to all UAW/Ford
Employees. The tickets are printed at the time of purchase and are valid on
any regular operating day for the 2016 season. Please refer to the website,
www.kentuckykingdom.com for operating days and hours. The Company code is
UAWL16 and the date issued is 3/3/2016. The ticket price will be $34.95 plus
tax.
ELK RUN GOLF CLUB DISCOUNTS: Elk Run is open to the public and offering

five minutes from downtown Louisville, private lessons and clinics from PGA

17TH ANNUAL JDRF GOLF SCRAMBLE: Hosted by UAW-Ford KTP employees. This event
will be held at Covered Bridge Golf Club in Sellersburg, IN. Sunday, June 12th,
2016 (2 Flights). Registration: 6:15am to 7:15am. Shotgun Start: 7:30am and
1:30pm, rain or shine! The cost is $200 per person due upon registration.
First come-first serve basis to the first 288 paid entries. Lunch is 12:00pm for
both flights. All proceeds benefit Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Registration forms can be picked up in Salary Personnel, the KTP Cares Store, or
