RUN-OFF ELECTION – Run-off elections are taking place at the UAW Local 862
Chamberlain Lane Union Hall for KTP Building Chairperson from now thru May 27th
when polls will close at 7:30pm. You will need to show proper identification
(union card, Ford ID, etc.) or you will not be permitted to vote.
BONUS CASH FOR VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY – Veterans and Active Military get
$750 Appreciation Cash towards the purchase of a new vehicle from now thru July
5, 2016. Eligible vehicles include 2015, 2016, and 2017 Ford and Lincoln
vehicles. The offer is not valid on Raptor, Focus RS, Mustang Shelby GT350,
Mustang Shelby GT500, Mustang Boss 302 and Mustang 50 Years Limited Edition.
Eligible customers include active military personnel, veterans, retirees,
spouse/surviving spouse and other household members. Customers must register via
www.fordsalutesthosewhoserve.com to receive their certificate number.
William Clay Ford, Jr. Scholarship Program – The program offers $1,500
scholarships to children of U.S. Ford employees and is sufficiently funded to
continue this year. In order to qualify, students must be classified
undergraduate sophomores for the 2016 Fall term.
Details about the program are provided online at HR ONLINE (under Policies and
Programs), on @ford Online (under Ford A-Z Index) and Scholarship America at
sms.scholarshipamerica.org/wcfordjr. Applications must be submitted by
July 15, 2016.
Labor Day Picnic and Car Show at the Zoo - Mark your calendars for the 17th
Annual Labor Day at the Zoo Picnic and Car Show on September 5th. The tickets
will go on sale sometime around the beginning of August at the local union
halls. Ticket prices will remain $7 for advance sales and $9 at the gate the
day of the event. Children two and under are free. Included in the ticket
price is all day admission to the zoo, parking, food and drinks, car show and
inflatable rides.
2016 KY Labor-Management Conference Board of Directors’ Scholarship Award–
The deadline for your child to submit a scholarship application is approaching
quickly. Applications must be postmarked no later than July 15, 2016.
Applications are available at both Local 862 union halls and by visiting
labor.ky.gov and then clicking on the Labor Management tab.

are in May. It will be updated as each time period (i.e. Summer, Fall)
approaches.
MEMBERSHIP MEETING DATE CHANGE – Please make note that the Membership Meeting
for June has been changed to June 7, 2016. It will be at the KTP Union Hall,
12:00pm and 6:00pm
