A-CREW MANDATORY OVERTIME: A-Crew is scheduled for 10 hours on Sunday 6/26/16
with a 6am start. No other dates are scheduled at this moment. This is a
tentative schedule based on customer demand, part availability and the plant
making daily production.
C-CREW START TIME CHANGE: It is now confirmed that Sunday July 3rd will be a 6am
start time.
VACATION SHUTDOWN: The shutdown period is now confirmed for the week of July
4th, 2016. The last production day (C-crew) will be July 3rd. A-Crew and
C-crew return to work on July 11th, 2016. B-Crew will return July 12th.
QUALITY CONCERNS: Make sure you are following the correct PUSH/PULL methods on
all wire connections. We have had a lot of disconnects. It’s been one of our
top concerns. Let’s make the best 2017 Escapes possible to ensure our future
at Louisville Assembly Plant.
ONLINE REFERRALS: The employee referral program will be an electronic
submission. There are no paper forms to complete. The link will be located
on the LAP Homepage under Employee Links. Program lasts till June 24th.
PATHWAY TO SKILLED TRADES APPRENTICESHIP: Open enrollment for Term II of the
Industrial Readiness Certificate Program will be held from June 20th through
24th in the Main Cafeteria at A-26. A representative from JCTCS will be
available from 8am – 10am, Noon – 1pm, and 4pm – 6pm daily. All the
information needed to engage in this program can be found at
uawford.org/apprentice/ Please do not take applications to your
Committeeperson or UAW Local 862 leadership for processing. The local community
college is the only conduit for present or future enrollments.
GRIEVANCE SETTLEMENTS: Overtime grievances are being heard and settled weekly.
If you win your grievance, you will be paid accordingly and the overtime will be
equalized. If there is a question on why hours have been added to your check
this could be the reason why.
SAVE AND DONATE TOLIETRIES: Save and donate your unused toiletries from your
vacations starting June 1, 2016 until September 1, 2016.
The UAW Local 862 KTP & LAP Community Service Committees will be collecting
these items for Wayside Mission Shelter and Camp Taylor Elementary. The drop off
for these items will be a collection box in the LAP Tee shirt store during store
hours and at both union halls in the secretary’s area, Monday thru Friday 8am
to 4pm.

TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR HEALTH: 30% of people with high blood pressure are
unaware of their condition. To bring awareness LAP will have free voluntary
blood pressure checks and BMI analysis. Tests will be given in the Training
Center (Union office) on the 1st floor.
NASCAR TICKET DISCOUNTS: Kentucky Speedway is making tickets available to Ford
employees and Ford dealers, along with their employees; a discount ticket
offer for the July 9, 2016 Quaker State 400 presented by Advance Auto Parts
Sprint Cup Race. Normally a $109. Ticket. Purchase tickets at the LAP store
(main café) for $60.00. Limited tickets, cash only. Tickets available now!!
LOUISVILLE ZOO TICKET DISCOUNT: Limited tickets are available in the LAP store
(main café) for the Louisville Zoo. Tickets are $10 each.
KINGS ISLAND DISCOUNT: UAW 862 members can purchase Kings Island Tickets at a
discount by visiting www.visitkingsisland.com/save. The username is
kiuawlocal862 and password is BANSHEE. At this point the only tickets available
are in June. It will be updated as each time period (i.e. Summer, Fall)
approaches.
BONUS CASH FOR VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY: Veterans and Active Military get
$750 Appreciation Cash towards the purchase of a new vehicle from now thru July
5, 2016. Eligible vehicles include 2015, 2016, and 2017 Ford and Lincoln
vehicles. The offer is not valid on Raptor, Focus RS, Mustang Shelby GT350,

undergraduate sophomores for the 2016 Fall term.
