ELECTION NOTICE (KTP) – In accordance with the UAW International Constitution
and the By-laws of UAW Local 862, the following members were nominated at the
regular Membership Meeting on July 12, 2016 for the Un-expired Term of the
Kentucky Truck Plant Bargaining Committeeperson (term expires May 2017).

To accept a nomination, a “Candidate Agreement & Acceptance Form” MUST be
personally submitted to one of the Co-Chairpersons of the Election Committee or
given to one of the secretaries at either union hall. Candidates must accept
nomination by the close of business on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. (EST).
A final candidate list will be distributed at that time.
KTP will also be having a Local Contract Ratification Vote along with the KTP
Bargaining Committeeperson Election. You must show proper identification (union
card, Ford ID, etc.) to be permitted to vote.
Elections of the KTP Bargaining Committeeperson and the KTP Local Contract
Ratification Vote will be held at the Chamberlain Lane Union Hall beginning on
Thursday, July 21st at 4:30am thru Friday, July 22nd at 7:30pm.
14TH ANNUAL JDRF AWARENESS RIDE - This is a great event focused on motorcycles
and finding a cure for Juvenile Diabetes(JDRF). This event changes the end
destination every year but remains consistent in that a good time is had by all.
The number of riders averages around 200 and the riders are a mix of employees,
retirees, friends and people from the community. We ride about 115 miles with
multiple water stops on the way and ends at a destination for lunch. We have a
silent auction, 50/50 raffle, door prizes and the poker run contest. All makes
of motorcycles are welcome. Special $250.00 for Pre-registration received by
Aug. 8, 2016, registration begins at 8:00am; ride leaves at 10:00am at the
Kentucky Truck Plant at 3001 Chamberlain Lane.
KENTUCKY BLOOD CENTER BLOOD DRIVE – There will be a blood drive at the next
two upcoming Local 862 Membership Meetings. The first one will be on August
9th at the KTP Hall on Chamberlain Lane from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. The second will
be held at the LAP Union Hall on Fern Valley Road on September 6th, from 1:00pm
to 6:00pm.
