LAP WEEKLY UPDATE October 28th, 2016
ORDER BANK:
2017 ESCAPE: 15,007 UNITS 10 Day Supply
2017 MKC: 3,631 UNITS 33 Day Supply
PRODUCTION DOWN WEEK: All production has been cancelled for the week of 10/31/16
thru 11/6/16. Production will resume on 11/07/16 with A-Crew starting at 6am and
C-crew starting at 6pm.
C-CREW START TIME CHANGE 10/30: C-crew start time has changed to 6am for Sunday
10/30/16.
CHAPLAINCY FELLOWSHIP DINNER 11/5: 13TH Annual Chaplaincy Fellowship Dinner will
be held at the LAP Union Hall from 5pm-8pm. UAW Locals, Retirees and family
members are welcome to attend this special event where we will recognize "Unity
+ Community = Oppurtunity". Keynote speaker: Phillp Jackson, UAW International
Chaplaincy Board Member. Cost $10 Adults $5 Retirees and Children 10 & under.
ELECTION DAY 11/8(UAW Negotiated Holiday): Don’t forget to cast your vote! A
list of UAW endorsed candidates in on the back. Support those who support you
and your family.
VETERANS DAY PARADE 11/11: The Annual Veterans Day Parade is in honor of all
those who served past and present. Come show your support for those we helped
serve. Parade starts on 3rd and Main. Ends at 6th and Main. UAW/Ford sponsored.
MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING 11/15: The monthly membership meeting will be held
on Tuesday, November 15th at 12 pm and 6 pm at the LAP Union Hall on Fern Valley
Road. Please make every effort to attend one of the Union Meetings. For all
new members, who have yet to be sworn in, please come to either of the meetings
so you can formally be sworn in.
FREE FLU SHOTS: Flu shots will be given in the main café and paint café
November 14th- 18th. Employees must provide badge. Insured and uninsured are
both covered. Please provide your insurance card if you're insured. Any

UAW 862 WINTER COAT DRIVE: The annual coat drive for Wayside Mission and
Interlink Counseling Services will begin November 1 thru December 12. Collection
boxes will be located at the 3 entrances on A-aisle and at each union hall.
ADOPT-A-CHILD: The kick off for the 35th year of Adopt A Child will start this
week. The employees here will make the holidays brighter for over 100 local area
children. I’m asking every employee to donate at least $20.00. We will have
team leaders collect the money or you can drop it off at the Charity Store
located in main cafeteria. Also you can contact Gayle Parker at (502-418-1990 or
gparke82@ford.com) and Racheal Newby (rnewbyfu@ford.com). If the Store is not
open, please drop in the secured mailbox located on right side of the store. If
anyone would like to shop please contact us as well.
a/z plan pin for extended family members: For a limited time, now through
January 3, 2016, the A/Z Plan Pin Program eligibility has been expanded to
include aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. To support this initiative, all U.S.
employees and retirees will be granted two additional A/Z Plan Pins for the
remainder of 2016. Pins generated after Dec 31st will be deducted from 2017 PIN
allocation. See www.axz.ford.com for more details.
UAW 862 Phone Banks for fall elections: Join fellow union members to phone bank
for Pro-Labor Endorsed Candidates each Monday thru Friday, from now up to
November 7, 2016.
-The KTP Phone Bank is located at the KTP Union Hall at 2702 Chamberlain Lane
from 11:00am-5:00pm.
