In accordance with the UAW International Constitution & the By-laws of UAW Local 862, NOMINATIONS will be
taken at the regular Membership Meetings on November 15
th
for the Un-Expired Term (expiring May 2017) of the
following positions: (In accordance with Article 38, Section 10 of our International Constitution, absentee balloting for Executive Board
positions is permitted under certain conditions)

 Financial Secretary - (1 to be elected local-wide, elected by majority vote)
 Treasurer - (1 to be elected local-wide, elected by majority vote)
 Trustee - (1 to be elected local-wide, elected by majority vote)
 KTP Skilled Trades Chairperson - (1 to be elected by plurality vote, if a tie occurs, seniority will prevail)

 KTP Committeepersons for “Unassigned” Production and Skilled Trades - (10 to be elected for
Production and 2 to be elected for Skilled Trades)
All “Unassigned” Committeepersons for Production and Skilled Trades will fill any full time positions as they
open. These positions will be elected by plurality vote, if a tie occurs, seniority will prevail.

LAP Committeepersons for “Assigned and Unassigned” Production and Skilled Trades - (13 to be
elected from Production and 2 to be elected from Skilled Trades)
The top three (3) District Committeepersons for Production will serve office immediately based on representative
numbers per the Master Agreement -Volume 1 and the additional “Unassigned” Committeepersons for Production
and Skilled Trades will serve any full time positions as they open. These positions will be elected by plurality
vote, if a tie occurs, seniority will prevail.

To accept a nomination, a “Candidate Agreement & Acceptance Form” MUST be personally submitted to one
of the Co-Chairpersons of the Election Committee or given to one of the secretaries at either union hall.
Candidates must accept nomination by Friday, November 18, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. (EST).

Election for these positions will be held Thursday, December 1stthru Friday, December 2nd

Time: Polls open @ 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 1stand close @ 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 2nd, 2016

Place: Chamberlain Lane Union Hall and Fern Valley Road Union Hall

Run-off Election for Executive Board positions, if necessary, will be held Thursday December 8th thru Friday,
December 9th, 2016:

Time: Polls open @ 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 8th
and close @ 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 9th, 2016

Place: Chamberlain Lane Union Hall and Fern Valley Road Union Hall

Local 862 has been advised by the Department of Labor that “A person convicted of certain crimes may not serve as a union
