OK, this is the rumor mill. Heard we will be down for 2 weeks this year instead of one for vacation, anyone else?

Took vacation last week but here's my take. When they cut us back to ten hours the order bank was down. Now it's up around 30,000 and we're off for the holidays. They probably will not decide until it gets closer to vacation and see what the order bank is then. Six months is a long way off.

Every year they tell you that you must save 80 hours for vacation shut down, but as pmooret noted, it all depends on the order bank and whether or not they need the production, or if they need more down time to retool. Too early to tell at this point

Yep I agree. Everything including next week is always tentative. Just throwing out what I heard from management.

i am a big fan of the 1 week shutdowns, allows us to take another 40 when we want. based on what i have heard, looking like a two week shutdown this year.

Heard two weeks as well but also heard they would be split not back to back one in July one in august
