I believe 100% that the union should be absolutely ashamed that they let this bullshit happen. Dividing the workforce between legacy and new hires or grow in or whatever they are called is just anti-union!!!!!' Total bullshit. I can see an 18 to 36 month step up program but not this shit. Pure and simple sell-outs by the union.

However, the new people can't take anything from us without taking it from themselves. They do eventually make top pay after all,and some say their retirement is more lucrative than ours. What's the issue? The 8 years? I agree it's too long,and guess what, as long as ford keeps making money,and we all stick together,it will not stand! The tpt,lts,sts garbage is a greater worry than that anyway.no one seems to be bitching about that. To the new people: a lot of people at other plants were threatened with their plants closing (not ktp). And in fact many plants have closed . That's how this shit got voted in,fear,and division. If you want to lose even more, keep spreading division and fear. Ford thanks you!!! If you can find a better job take it. God knows I would if I could.

Having to wait to top out the same length of time it takes to be 100% vested in your 401k is reasonable. The top out rate per hour is the majority of your larger overall cost, your all-in rate. As the economy and inflation take their toll, the rate of pay per hour and it's representative percentage, will fluctuate. I would wager my testicles that if your were to compare and contrast the Consumer Price Index(CPI) versus our increase/decrease in all-in costs, we're pretty close. Our health care costs and number of pensioners not generating revenue anymore costs the new guys a whole lot more than the legacies. I'm an in progression with less than two years, U-Trim.

Way to much math for an old 53 yr old guy like me...My only point is it took us (3) yrs to get to top pay.They have you all set up for (8) years.Thats (2) different contracts.I personally don't think you'll ever see 29.62..But since I believe in our union and pay dues I sure hope like hell you get the pay you all deserve..! good luck.
