try different lunch specials weekly. If you have any ideas please communicate to

WORKERS’ COMP QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 9/18: Beginning the week of the September
18th we will have a workers’ compensation attorney at each union hall
location. The schedule is as follows: Mondays from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the KTP
Union Hall and Thursdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm at the LAP Union Hall, excluding
holidays. This will be a question and answering service regarding work related
injuries provided by Jennings Law Offices. You will be able to meet with a
workers’ compensation attorney with no appointment necessary. Please educate
yourself and utilize these convenient services available within your local
union.
HEAT STRESS (per local agreement pg.57): It is agreed that the Company will
continue to provide ice and/or liquids on an ongoing basis. Bottled Gatorade or
equivalent will be supplied whenever the forecast or actual outside temperature
is 90 degrees or higher. It is agreed that on qualifying days the distribution
machines will be turned on and off when the external temperature is 85 degrees.
Each employee will receive 2 bottles based on a normal operating pattern of 10
hours. It is further understood that on day(s) when the outside temperature
exceeds 100 degrees management will review other avenues to address this
abnormal condition. To request temperature/humidity measurements contact your
company/union safety representative to have the humiture reading taken in your
area of the facility. Temperature is determined by Accuweather for zip code
40213.
MASS RELIEF vs TAG RELIEF (per local agreement pg. 92): During the course of the
2013 negotiations the Union and the Company discussed Mass vs. Tag relief in
certain areas of the facility. When the need to increase or recover lost
production arises the company will notify the union prior to changing relief
patterns. To maintain quality and efficient working practices the Company
commits to relieve all classifications in these areas affected. This change in
relief pattern will not cause any employee to work less than 10 hours (on AWS)
per Crew/Shift for any day during the week in which the relief is requested to
support production needs. In areas where tag relief is required, in excess of a
month, the company will give a 14 day notice prior to changing to the pattern.
This process may be deviated by mutual agreement.
REALISTIC PRODUCTION SCHEDULE (10 vs 10.7) (per local agreement pg.102) During
the course of the 2015 negotiations the Union and the Company discussed the need
for a consistent and realistic Production Schedule. The Union expressed concerns
of The Production Schedule changing on a regular basis working over ten hours to
meet production demands. Both parties understand our joint commitment to produce
high quality vehicles delivered in a timely manner. Our Crew/Shift production
volume is based on 10 hours of production with a .7 tenth buffer to achieve 10
hour schedule. The Company will provide the Production Schedule at the beginning
of each week in order to bring consistency to each Crew/Shift. Further in the
event that a documented production loss occurs, on any Crew/Shift, the Company
agrees to make up lost production in a timely manner on the Crew/Shift that lost
the units if possible. In accordance with Appendix W and H the Union recognizes
the Companies right to make up lost production up to 10.7 hours on each
Crew/Shift. The Company will recover any documented lost production within a
realistic time frame, under normal operating conditions. This agreement may be
altered by mutual agreement.
