GLCLC Condemns White Supremacist Rally in VA, Acts of Domestic Terrorism
Louisville, KY - The Greater Louisville Central Labor Council released the following statement condemning the violent and deadly terrorist acts of White Supremacists at a gathering of Neo-Nazis, Klansmen, and other domestic terrorist groups in Charlottesville Virginia.
“There is no place in our nation for this kind of evil. We stand in solidarity with the 19 injured victims and honor the lost lives of Heather Heyer and state troopers H. Jay Cullen and Berke M.M. Bates. Unions across the Greater Louisville area stand in solidarity with the victims and their families. Nazis, Klansmen, and other White Nationalist terror groups are not welcome in Kentucky.”
No matter what race, religion, or sexual orientation-all men and women are created equal. Each man and woman deserves to live free of fear and oppression. As a Proud Union Family, we know the diversity of our unions is what makes us stronger and makes our Commonwealth better.
