KTP SKILLED TRADES TENTATIVE AGREEMENT– Voting for the KTP Skilled Trades
Agreement will take place Saturday December 9, 2017 at 6:00pm thru Tuesday,
December 12, 2017 at 7:30am at the KTP Union Hall located at 2702 Chamberlain
Lane. This makes sure all shifts have an opportunity to vote when coming and
going to work. You must show proper identification to be permitted to vote.
UAW Local 862 Basketball League – We still need two teams for the 35 and older
age group. There are 12 players per team. Any team interested can have their
coach contact Jay Henry at (502) 387-3717. The league will begin in January
and play on Sundays from 12pm-4pm.
Diversity Celebration Dinner/dance – Let’s celebrate our differences at the
UAW Local 862 Civil & Human Rights Committees’ Diversity Celebration
Dinner/Dance that will be held Saturday, February 17th at the LAP Union Hall on
Fern Valley Road. Meet and Greet Cocktails will be 7:00-8:00pm and the
Dinner/Dance will be 8:00-12:00am. Tickets are $15 a person or $25.00 per
couple. Dress is semi-formal. Beer and cocktails will be available, music by
DJ Vic Santana, and food catered by Franco’s. Advance tickets will be
available at the regular membership meetings or contact Apriel Williams at

UAW Local 862 Pool tournament – This year’s tournament will be held January
15, 2018 at Diamond Pub & Billiards at 630 Barret Avenue, Louisville, KY 40204.
Registration will be 12:30pm to 1:30pm for the first 64 players. Entry fee
(green fee included) $15.00. Added Money $300.00. Tables open at 12:30pm until
1:30pm for practice. First, second, and third place will be paid. 8 Ball-Scotch
Doubles-Double Elimination. You must be a UAW Local 862 active or retired
member. Refreshments available and raffles will be taking place during the

UAW Local 862 Special Paint Event – The UAW Local 862 Recreation Committee is
hosting a Special Paint Event and you are invited. It will be held Saturday
January 20, 2018 from 6:00pm-9:00pm (doors open at 5:30p) at the UAW Hall on
Fern Valley Rd. It is free for UAW 862 members and $20 per guest (18 and over).
Artist presented by “Whet Your Palette”. All supplies will be provided and
there is no experience necessary. Local artist will instruct step by step.
It’s a great date night or friend’s night out. RSVP by January 5 at 3:00pm
to attend. Registration forms can be obtained at either UAW Local 862 Union
Hall. Money orders and cash only, no checks.

BOXES OF LOVE CHRISTMAS MEAL PROGRAM – Local 862 will continue the tradition
supported by the KTP and LAP Chairpersons in the Annual Boxes of Love Christmas
Meal Program. The complete meals will provide many families a Christmas meal
that some would otherwise not have received without the support of Local 862.
These meals will be assembled at Fourth Street Live on December 21st (10am-2pm)
and delivered on the 22nd (5am-8am). All members of Local 862 are invited to
volunteer on either of these two days.
