They're in the process of laying off sts/tpt now. Will probably be awhile for new hires, let alone conversions.

So they brought in transfers only to cut the sts hours to part time and lay some off? That shit is ridiculous. They are quality ppl with families. Not to mention some of these transfers get seniority automatically even if they havent been with Ford much longer than even me. My crew preference bid has risen not dropped in 2 years.

That’s the way it works.If they shut down KTP you could have the “right” to go to another plant.Ive been through Lorraine,Kansas City, Avon lake,Atlanta,Indy,,Mich Truck,etc.Hell even got knocked off days by LAP which never closed?Sucks but rules are rules.

STS..Short Term Supplemental, they were told up front the terms of the deal. The transfers have families as well, and a contract that gives them the opportunity and right to transfer. Bad enough they have to pick their families up and move they shouldn’t take grief from other employees while they are at work. I’m sure you would want that same right and treatment. Agree.Still think LAP screwed the KTP people though.Deal was stay for a year while they re-tool,not transfer over here.Most transfers at KTP saw their plant “close”..Over it tho.
