Sad we live in a world that teacher gets ,treated like shit,low wages .But still has balls to strike /walkout.This world has their priorities messed up..

Imagine a world where Jefferson County Schools didn’t spend $10 million, yes million with an M, on diesel fuel a year busing kids all over the county every year. Not to mention the cost of 900 buses and the maintenance on those buses, the insurance on those buses, the cost of the property where they park them nightly, or the wages for for the 100 mechanics that keep them running. Imagine what else that money could be spent on. Wages for teachers, more teachers for smaller classroom sizes. More special needs teachers for kids with learning disabilities, etc. Instead you have a broken system that can’t fulfill its promises to teachers because when they were made to the teachers the school system wasn’t running a Firestone/Bus Depot/Gas Station. System can’t function as it is so something has to change, unfortunately the workers had to pay the price as usual. Just my thoughts. Stay safe people
