LAP BI-WEEKLY UPDATE June 8th, 2018
ORDER BANK:

PASSWORD RESET: Please make sure you reset your password before the down weeks.
You will not be able to reset it from home and there will not be a supervisor
here to get the second half for you.
DOWN WEEKS: Week of the July 23rd several people will be surveyed to work in
various departments, some will be mandatory.
CONSTITUTION CONVENTION: Your Bargaining Committee will be in Detroit
representing the membership concerns June 10-15.

UNITED WAY EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION: I would like to personally thank our UAW
Committee for stepping up and helping make sure the event was successful. No
event goes off without some hiccups, but the membership understood. I apologize
to those of you we may have missed. We will continue to do the little extra
things for all members to show our appreciation. We passed out over 4600+
sandwiches, chips, and waters during the event. This was a major undertaking and
coordination amongst the UAW, Team Leaders, and Management. We appreciate all
those that came in on their own time to help the other crews, Team Leaders for
making sure their people were taking care off and the managers for allowing the
everyone the opportunity to make this happen.
PERFECT ATTENDANCE: Awards should arrive this week. Watch social media, in-plant
monitors, and signs at entrances for pick up times and locations.
KCAP TRANSFER 7/16: Congratulations to all those that signed up to return home.
LAP would like to say thank you for everything you have done while being here
and hope you enjoyed your stay. Ford and UAW have finally come to an agreeable
date for KCAP transfer to go home. Labor Relations will contact you for
reporting instructions.
TPT to STS SURVEY: 215 will be surveyed to be converted
• LAP only, completed before shutdown
• If you not been surveyed to work and you know you are at the top, please say
something
• UAW and Ford have agreed to survey TPT’s to transition to STS’s by the
weeks worked until 215 employees have accepted the offer.
• STS status for the 215 will start July 30 and go until November 4th
• There is no penalty for wishing to stay TPT
• Currently there are no Crew changes planned, if something changes you will
have an option to opt out of STS status
• 5/9/17 hire in class, going strictly by seniority, is roughly around the
cut-off class for the 215. Anticipating all say yes and no one has lost weeks
worked, which many have.
TENTATIVE DOWN WEEKS: Louisville Assembly Plant will not run production in some
areas for an additional four weeks to allow time for re-tooling in preparation
for the 2020 model year. The weeks are as follows June 18th, June 25th, July
16th and July 23rd. If any additional weeks are needed, notification will come
as soon as we can make official announcement. Stay tuned for changes. Your
immediate supervisor will notify you if you’re working.
VACATION SHUTDOWN: The Louisville Assembly Plant has notified the UAW and
confirmed that the plant will be taking its annual vacation shutdown. The
vacation period is confirmed for the weeks of July 2nd and July 9th. Employees
will be required to use up to 80 hours vacation or the allotted amount according
to their seniority during the vacation period based on the National Contract
Language (Article IX, Section 24).
UNEMPLOYMENT FILING: Official details about unemployment filing have officially
been posted. Please check with your process coach to see the bulletin in its
entirety or stop by Labor Relations and pick up a copy.
TOILETRIES NEEDED: A donation box will be at both halls and in the in-plant
Union Office from June 1st through September 1st. All donations will be split
between Wayside Mission and Center for Women & Children. Collect while on
vacation and bring it in.
REBALANCE: Rebalance is still ongoing and is not due to end until 12/23/18.
Please stay off your phones. Don’t watch movies. Don’t work through your
breaks to stay caught up. Stay in contact with your counterparts. Your
Committeeperson can’t help you if you’re helping the company prove you have
plenty of time by doing things that are outside of things on your OIS sheet.
COMPETITIVE BONUS 6/10: All eligible employees will receive their semi-annual
$1500 bonus on 6/10. This will be before any of the tentative down weeks and
will not have to be claimed if the down weeks happen as scheduled. Must be on
active rolls be 5/15/18, which means make an active return.
UAW-FORD ROUGE POWERHOUSE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Ford Motor Company has
established a competitive scholarship program to assist UAW-Ford employees'
children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school
programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an
accredited institution of the student's choice. Detailed information can be

Applications in the in-plant Union Office.
WILLIAM CLAY FORD SCHOLARSHIP: The William Clay Ford, Jr. Scholarship program,
which provides $1,500 in tuition assistance for children of U.S. Ford employees,
is now open for enrollment. To qualify, students must be sophomores in college
during the 2018 fall term. Details about the program are provided online at HR
ONLINE (under Policies and Programs), on @fordonline (under Ford A-Z Index) and
Scholarship America at www.scholarsapply.org/wcfordjr. Application
deadline is July 16, 2018.
