It’s always been like that on B crew. Took me 17-18 years to hold days in my department. Most all of us have been there done that. I’ve literally been in every department except stamping and done some of the shittiest jobs you can imagine. I’m sure the guys and gals that came before me had it even worse and so forth. Only choice is to either tough it out or find another job. These trucks don’t build themselves, and some of the jobs truly suck, but seniority is the only fair way to fill these jobs and crews.

If it’s so bad there why the hell are you there? Guys with 2 years in body and stamping on days. Inspectors in stamping on A crew with 2 years. The whole plant was surveyed for these departments a year or so ago, some people just like to bitch I guess. Pack up and move on, tons of good jobs and departments out there. Stay safe people You think its so easy to move? Impossible with us. Either eay people have to start speaking up because this shit wont stop. Yes I do. Was about 2 years ago, they passed out a notice to sign up if you wanted to move to another dept. I did, about 6 weeks later I was gone. SUV body surveyed the whole plant when it changed over, not many went that is why it is full of people with 2 years seniority that don’t know what a hard days work is. Good for them, I tell every one of them to never leave that department no matter what they hear, they have no idea what hell is over in frame/chassis/trim. Next time they survey....and the will....man up and move on. Stay safe people |

The problem lies where the UAW took all of the big 3 stock when we where scrambling to keep afloat. As for going to other departments good luck with that...they have filled body and paint with newbies and older members can't move. This place has turned into a hamburger plant from hell with no hope for anything better down the road. If you have some college or a technical degree..run away from this place...for the rest of us..stay safe and remember no one has your best interests but you.

I've been on B crew for so long, it's just natural to me that we have to make up the other crews lost production. I don't like it, but I choose to stay. I like the area that i'm in and the people for the most part. As far as A crew making the rules, LOL! The teams I've been on has fought job changes more than A crew ever will. Seems like A crew always sign off then bitch to us about it.

I can't help it.. Are you telling me Ford Motor Co.built a Brand NEW Paint Plant on KTP"s Property ( which took several months to do i would say) and it's right next to the original paint plant. And people are surprised that NEW hires off the street took there jobs... ha ha ha ha ((**** Has anyone heard of a department transfer ??)) Didn't anyone notice that giant building going up... It's hard to miss.. Who's going to work there?? Who's fault is that?? I hear there's another expansion coming soon. Heads up this time. dang..

It's called communication among TL's and primary operators. Like I said, we would fight the change, and A crew would bitch to us about how they couldn't fight the change. I know not all areas are the same. It's just my experience on Chassis that I'm speaking of. Sometimes we would even come in early to see what was going on. |
