Longer I’m here the more I learn about our UAW.Okay let’s say a person plans a Vacation starting on a Thursday and is also off on the mandatory Sunday.Now due to circumstances beyond his control he’s layed off that week.Ok he’s in Florida (didn’t leave till Wednesday eve)and UAW tells him either 1)Take 10hrs Vacation pay for Thursday and hope they don’t work Sunday.Then draw UI for m,t,Wed. 2)Come Back And work Sunday (if we do) and get SWW for m,t ,wed. 3)Stay in Florida and miss Sunday and get ZERO pay 4)Don’t take 10hrs pay for Thursday and hope we don’t work Sunday then draw 40hrs UI. All bullshit.If I take 10hrs Vacation pay for Thursday that should count as hours worked and get SWW for M-W ..Right? Hoping we don’t work Sunday!You would think the UAW would step up and be on my side and say pay him!But I guess we aren’t the TEAMSTERS!

If we do work sunday.. will we get double time for sunday and 30hrs sww? That would be nice in my circumstance.. 50hrs pay for 10hrs sunday ?? I am really getting put out with hardly any communication from the union. Like should i be expecting to work 6am sunday or not??!!

Just called the in plant union office and they expect we WILL work sunday.🤔
