LAP BI-WEEKLY UPDATE October 12th, 2018
ORDER BANK:
2018 ESCAPE: 23,259 UNITS 18 Day Supply
2019 Escape 36,893
2019 MKC: 5,306 UNITS 42 Day Supply
HURRICANE RELIEF GATE COLLECTION: We want to thank everyone for participating in
our gate collection. We had a goal of $4000 and we exceeded that. LAP raised
$6000. Great job team!!
CONTRACT RESOLUTIONS 2019: Contract Resolutions for the 2019 National Agreement
can be picked up in the Union Office or ask your Committeeperson.
5 DAY QUIT NOTICES: It is your responsibility to get all your paperwork in a
timely fashion. Please keep copies of all your paperwork in case it gets lost in
the process. Make sure all address and telephone number are up to date in Labor
Relations and the LAP Union Hall.
BIDS & DROTS: It is your responsibility to check your DROT every day for
accuracy. If the DROT is incorrect get with your process coach immediately. Bids
are posted on Tuesdays and it’s your responsibly to check for new bids and
surveys. Bids come down every Monday at 11:59pm.
VETERAN STATUS: The team at LAP plans to update our Veteran’s Memorial
tributes in the plant. If you are a veteran, please verify your status in Labor
Relations as soon as possible.
EMPLOYEE PULSE SURVEY: Starting September 24th thru October 12th, all employees
will be asked to participate in a pulse survey. Please express your honest
opinion. The survey is on the Louisville Home Page.
HIGH FIVE TOUR 10/10: The 9th annual “High Five” Wounded Warrior’s project
vehicle will be visiting LAP October 10th. Don’t miss your chance to sign the
2018 Ford Raptor. Times and location coming soon. Get your pictures taken with
the vehicle from 8am-1pm.
CAMPAIGN FOR HOPE 10/25: Campaign for Hope open to community and will be held on
Thursday October 25th at 5:30pm at UAW Local 862 Union Hall on Fern Valley Rd.
The goal is to educate and bring awareness to our UAW-Ford workforce and
community on the dangers of opiates, identify the warning signs of addiction,
and steps individuals can take to guide their loved ones to recovery. Guest
speaker will include Rex Chapman.
SCARE THE LIFE OUT OF CANCER 10/27: Joint Community Service Committees host the
Adult Halloween Costume Party. The event will be held at LAP Union Hall from
8pm-12pm. Tickets are $5. All proceeds will benefit Making Strides Against
Breast Cancer Society.
TRUNK OR TREAT 10/31: LAP will be hosting its 1st annual Trunk or Treat at LAP
Union Hall on 10/31. We are currently accepting candy donations for the event.
Please bring all donations to the in-plant union office and see Angie Golden. If
you would like to volunteer set-up, pass out candy, or clean up please contact

15TH ANNUAL CHAPLAINCY FELLOWSHIP DINNER 11/3: Our annual dinner will be held at
LAP Union Hall on November 3rd from 6:30pm-8:30pm. For ticket sales contact
James Seay at 502-741-5395 or Phyllis Stewart at 502-345-5075.
BIKES OR BUST 11/15-11/18: We are taking bike donations for all new or gently
used bikes. Our goal is to donate 2000 bikes. Please bring all bikes to the
Union Hall during hall working hours.
ADOPT-A-CHILD: Adopt-A-Child is just around the corner, we are asking each team
leader to collect $20 from everyone on their team or whatever they can afford.
The party is on December 14th at LAP Union Hall. Everyone is invited to attend.
ADOPT-A-CHILD RAFFLE: We are having a 30-day Give-A-Way to raise money for the
Adopt-A-Child program. Tickets are $20. Only 300 tickets will be sold. Daily
$100 winners will be drawn between 11/1-11/30. See Brittany Jobbitt or Ralph
Napier for details.
