UNION SPORTSMEN’S ALLIANCE 2019 2-GUNs-A-WEEK CALENDARs- The calendars make a
great Christmas gift, especially for those who are hard to buy for and this year
there will be two gun winners each week. By purchasing this calendar, you have a
chance every week to win a gun in 2019. Each week brings another chance to win a
high-quality shotgun, rifle or handgun, including Remington firearms. The
calendars are $25.00 each and each one includes a registration and instructions
on how to register for a weekly drawing. The calendars are available at both UAW
Local 862 union halls.
15th annual fellowship dinner – The UAW Local 862 Joint Chaplaincy Committee
is hosting their 15th Annual Fellowship Dinner on Saturday, November 3, 2018
from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Ron Gettelfinger Hall (LAP) at 3000 Fern Valley Rd.
The cost is $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for retirees and children (ages 10 and
under). UAW active members, retirees, and family members are welcome. Catered by
Mark’s Feed Store. Tickets can be purchased from either Local 862 Union Hall
or any Chaplain in the plants.
Light up louisville– This event will kick off with the 38th Annual Light Up
Louisville tradition on Friday November 23rd, the day after Thanksgiving, at
4:00pm with the usual dazzling array of lights, lights and more lights, and
continue throughout the holiday season with ice-skating at Holiday Square
located at 4th and Jefferson. The evening will include the arrival of Santa
Claus, tens of thousands of downtown holiday lights and fireworks with the
action centered on a main stage at Fourth and Main. Free pictures with Santa at
8:30pm. UAW 862 and Ford are a couple of this year’s sponsors.
WINTER COAT DRIVE–The UAW Local 862 Community Services Committees is having a
winter coat drive from November 1 thru December 14, 2018. Please place clean and
gently used coats and sweaters in bins located in the plants and both UAW Local
862 union halls. Items will be donated to Wayside Mission and local charities

COLOMBO CHIROPRACTIC – Dr. Greg Colombo would like to give back to the labor
community by offering UAW Local 862 members and their families physicals at a
very discounted rate of $20.00. This includes sports physicals, school
physicals, etc. He will is located at the UAW Local 862 Union Hall on Fern
Valley Rd. You will need to call his office at (502) 251-4543 to set up an
appointment. NO insurance is needed.
MI TIERRA MEXICAN RESTAURANT – Located on Chamberlain Lane is now offering 20%
discount to all Ford employees. Dine-in or Carryout. Their address is 2610
Chamberlain Lane, Louisville, KY.
