The line speed cant get any faster in here without serious quality issues. Doesn't seem like Ford gives a damn. The norm for trucks at 12 oclock break used to be 239 just 3 years ago and that was running solid. We just pulled out 266. 10 more than projected. You cant even double think about what your doing anymore. Lights going off people missing parts. Its gonna catch up eventually and we are gonna have a bunch of shit quality trucks out there. Not to mention we gotta do 20-30 more than dayshift every night. A crew is the lead crew they should be helping everyone out with this garbage and speaking up to someone. Union prob wont do shit. And they just had the ergonomics complaint forms. Ha! People are gonna start dropping in here if this keeps up. Like I said they are making a beast of a profit on B while we make 20/hour. Fuck

Oh and they are trying to eliminate a team at the end of the line so it looks like more work added to everyone. Hooray. Medical better hire more nurses and doctors because they are gonna be packed. Union rolls over like my dog getting scratched on her belly

It is not the Union's place to fight your job, it's yours. The Union will represent you if they take you up front for not doing the additional work/holding a job. The company is not going to backtrack on eliminating jobs just because the union has a talk with them. You have to prove to them it can't be done.
There is a right way and a wrong way to fight a job. The right way will end up with you not having any additional work added to your job, the wrong way will get you fired. It would be to your benefit to talk to an old timer in your area about what you should and shouldn't do. Talk to several older timers.
Here's a few on my list:
Do your operation backwards. Don't do it the way you usually do, mix things up and do them in a different order, one that you're not use to. Switch hands. This will slow you down. Don't run.
Don't turn off the line no matter how far you bury it. Let someone else do that; committee person, boss, team leader, etc.
Don't explain to your boss that it isn't going to work, he does't want to hear it plus it makes it sound like you're trying to get out of the work. Don't tell your boss that you can't do the work. Simply say that you are doing your best and leave it at that.
If the boss comes down to talk to you while you are on the job don't talk to him. If you have time to talk, you have extra time. If the boss comes down to berate or threaten you tell him to call your committee person "NOW". Let your committee person argue with the boss. If looks bad if you argue with the boss. You stay "Cool as a Cucumber".
Don't skip any part of your operation so you can catch up. They can definitely take you up front for that.
Get your counterparts phone numbers to see what's going on with their shift. Added work has to be done on day shift first.
Remember, no one has ever been fired for not taking on work (as long as they did it correctly). You may get moved, or even some time off but the union will file a grievance and you'll get your back pay so save your money.
Once you hold the job, "It's Yours". The company will not take work off your job just because you're running your ass off. You hold it, you own it.
You fight your job, the union argues with the boss.

You can’t get fired for fighting a job .Period.The right way is to slow down and run it in the hole,Thus turning off line. Most likely you’ll get moved off job and some DA will do it.Problem solved. And as far as the union arguing in your favor? Not gonna happen, they’re together.Maybe A crew does less because they have the balls to slow down and fight

You have to be willing to be sent home without pay and be willing to go through the entire penalty progression up to 30 days off without pay. You will not be fired but you will lose money short term. Maybe a lot of money. Eventually your union grievance will result in receiving all your back pay.
People who live paycheck to paycheck are not in a position to do this. The company thrives on such people.

A lot of them still believe they are buddies with management..Wait till their jobs duties get buried then we will see how buddy buddy they are. But most know way more than the ones in here for 20 plus years......just saying
