I saw a copy of the National Contract proposals submitted by the rank and file.
One proposal was to "strengthen the 401K plan."
Seriously??? Jebus!!!
The only IUAW betrayal worse than agreeing to a two-tiered wage scale was agreeing to the elimination of the traditional pension!
YOU YOUNG PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP!

To get what you want you had all better be prepared for a 6-8 week strike.
I could survive that long. How many of you could?
The longest strike against Ford Motor Company in the history of the UAW was 6 weeks. Many hourly employees went bankrupt.

There’s no way in hell we strike. But I can walk out and make it till they call me back as long as it takes. The UAW is very weak right now.My opinion.Theres not one person I work with that thinks the union will help them in a time of need.Sad really. No leverage.Guess being paid off by Co is good enough for them ?

There is no way this workforce would support a strike longer than two weeks. The majority of the rank-and-file would be begging to return to work. So there is no way to get what you want. Hell yes the IUAW is weak right now. Continue to stay away from local union meetings. Remain uninvolved. Allow others to hold union office and make the decisions for you. Keep voting for Republicans to state and national office, Do these things and it will remain that way. Support right-to-work laws and continue to weaken unions and cut your own throats. The Man loves loyal employees.

I do vote republican,I do go to meetings,I’m not POPULAR enough to win any vote.My tits are hairy!.I don’t support RTW.But I guarantee these kids are of a different breed. They will drop out as soon as they don’t get what they think they’re suppose to get.The union has a chance this contract to SHOW all of us that they can be strong. Will it happen?HELL NO.Not when they spend 1 million dollars of OUR strike fund to build D.Williams a lake house with SCAB labor..That’s a kick in the BALLS!

These " kids" are making 20/ hour. Ypu think I can survive no pay raising a family on strike??? We all know Ford is going to rear end us in this contract because they already have the upper hand. Especially with the sts bullshit and if they are able to vote. We all know damn well nothing is going to change with the two tier 8 year top pay garbage. In fact I wouldn't be suprised at all if they moved it back to 10 years. The kids aren't the only ones not voting or caring. Ive seen plenty of older guys who dont give a damn either. Nobody is going to be happy with the new contract its inevitable. Ill be voting like I always do. Hey atleast we will get a signing bonus because the strike won't happen.

I can't even get the sad union reps to do simple things for me. I asked the guy we got now to help me with something and he said sure. Didn't mark my name down or my need. Sure enough like I knew next time I saw him no mention of anything I asked just "you good?". Thats all they do

Wasnt it the "older" guys who agreed to this two tier 8 year crap anyway? We came into this already on order. Like I’ve said I’ve NEVER met 1 person who voted for the two tier.Votes and election seen to pass regardless? I feel compelled to help you guys understand a couple of things. Firstly, Agslater, "two tier" no longer exists. It's been gone a few years now. The actual "two tier" which used to exist was replaced with an in-progression wage scale, albeit long, in 2015. Just because people repeat the same bullshit over and over doesn't magically make it true. You're welcome. Secondly, Darth, the reason you've never met anyone who voted Yes for anything is because people lie about how they vote. They don't feel like listening to anybody's bullshit, and certainly don't want to have to listen to it everyday. So they close the curtain, hit YES, and just say "Hell no, I didn't vote for that!" and you guys move along. Easy peasy. You're welcome too.

The ALMIGHTY building chairman has thrown us under the bus before, bet your bottom dollar he'll do it again. Ford and UAW do not care about you. But UAW better at least start showing some kind of interest in the membership with all this RTW stuff nowadays. This salty dog can see through their smoke screen though.

[/quote But the "sheeple" and "lemmings" will vote him and equally worthless Dunn in again. The people piss and moan about how messed up this plant is,,and then vote in two of the worst individuals this union has seen in power for the last couple of decades. Better wake up before contract people the union only cares about its own survival...keeping a cush job and getting their worthless relatives jobs..the people on the line mean nothing to these two losers. Line speeds increase but for some odd reason no one in the union board wants to take credit or tell you who it was that signed off on you getting porked daily. A union with no transparency cannot and should not be trusted. If they were doing their job correctly and honestly this wouldn't be a issue. RTW is gonna be a bitch to this union if they continue the path of what's best for FoMoCo and their own bottomless pockets; and agendas
