New to the forum life but figured I'd give this a try. Union has left myself and pretty much everybody else heading over to KTP in the dark (go figure). All I'm aware of is that the high senority guys (about 88 of them or so) are heading out March 11th so they can bid/roll before the freeze. Whereas the rest of us don't have a leave date.. Just that April 1st is our last day at LAP. Missed the union meeting yesterday unfortunately and was wondering if you all had any idea of the rest of the ship dates or if a layoff would be taking place? Thanks in advance, fellas.

According to the bargainer rep on b-crew(lap) is that majority if not everyone will be at ktp by the end of April |

Appreciate it, 1993. Was hoping that they had came out with specific dates and how many people would be going in each class. It's pretty concerning now that it's under a month and the majority of us don't know what's going on or if a layoff is coming. Guess that's the Ford way though..

If you're not going April 1st you will probably be laid off til your week comes. Herb did have a letter out with all the dates but that had the 1st group going March 25th & obviously it's all changed now. I'm sure once it gets closer more information will come out. |
