I currently bid on a dayshift tag relief job in SD Body. Are relief people assigned to certain teams? Also, what senority is holding dayshift tag relief in SD Body?

I’m gonna say it takes at least 1993. Right now they have a handful of tag people who float throughout the shop and tag where they’re needed. I did see where they put more jobs up for bid so I assume when they speed up final that we’ll go back to tagging the whole shop. At that point each tag person would be assigned to a specific team/area I would imagine.

I was told this morning that the extra tag relief will be for sub assembly jobs that build ship outs for SUV body. With the increased production of SUV’s they need to build more ship outs. The other tag people wil continue to float like they have been. |

THE WHOLE ANSWER—Relief gets absorbed on the team they have their relief on when not utilized on a day to day basis. They are first to be loaned out, cannot bump lowest on the team to take loan out.
If there is a reduction in the relief classificationas a whole the least seniority relief person will be affected by going to available work, in that department the relief is in, then natural group and then plantwide available work.
Local Contract Page 13
Employees having vat relief designations are considered vat classifications therefore affected the same.

So he gives 5 people all their 50 minutes of break before lunch and hits the door at noon (6 hours) and nobody gets a break in the afternoon, or he's simply not giving people all their break at all.
