I was one of the employees who took the Voluntary layoff at LAP. Today I received a letter from the Unemployment Office saying that I was supposed to claim the recent Bonus,to them, that everyone at LAP had received. Before I left work I was told by management and our Union that we didn't have to claim the Bonus. What gives?

You need to call union rep or Jim Fisher, all you're going to get from here is opinions

I understand that but I'm sure that I wasn't the only one that this happened to. So if this this happened to anyone else I would like to know what you are doing about this matter and why it happened in the first place, thanks.

Jeff, i too took the layoff, but i did not receive that letter. I know of 2 others that did get it though. They told me it was confusing because it said something about March. One said he was going to forget about it. The other went to labor to ask about it and they didn't have an answer either. I believe he was going to call unemployment next. If i find out anything for sure, i will let you know.

No trouble at all. I am actually going back to work next week. Got the call this week. If i can find out an answer i will let you know.
