Your statement is so correct "thisplacesux". If plantworker with his vast experience and decades of seniority under his belt doesn't get out from where he is, then that speaks volumes of the truth behind all his quotes. How many plants have you worked at again Plantworker? It’s like anytime you transfer to a plant you must do your time and wait and eventually you will end up on something decent. Obviously you have never had to transfer since you don’t fully understand how it works.

Guess what I don't understand is your jealousy over other parts of the plant when you supposedly will be able to better your position when the wait period is over. Suck it up buttercup!!!

Naw they closed plants due to location nothing to do with how jobs were set up Its amazing what some of these people believe and these people are legacy workers lmao I know to think somebody would have the mindset if we let the company overload jobs they will not close the plant. But this mindset is coming from the #1 money making plant in the ford system and would only close if Ford went under, you would think this plant the union could have not let jobs be overloaded and not took away bid jobs that are jobs for high seniority and turned them into team transfer jobs and department transfers. The local union sold its members out. I guess look at the bright side, I’ll have to look at that later all I see right now is another unit headed my way with 5 minutes worth of work to do in 2 minutes

Then I guess the real topic at hand here is which dept's are all these people thinking about retirement come contract in? Body, Paint, Stamping? Do your homework ppl and put your dept transfers in asap. There will be bid jobs opening up soon as well. Patience.

A lot of the 1st wave Lap guys who come over had 20-25 years, they went to body after a week or so in Trim. The rest of the Lap ppl have 2012 seniority from my understanding. They'll land on their feet just gotta lay in there for a few more months.

Given the extremely high % of bad parts stamping produces, a repair job might not be very good. On the other hand, those guys are ingesting a large amount of aluminum dust, and knowing the strong link between aluminum and Alzheimer’s, he may well have also forgotten what it is like on the line......

So when/did you work stamping?Whats it like?
