Don't let the signing bonus make your decision. In all my years That signing bonus seals the deal I’d like to see Ford throw in a new vehicle of your choice with the signing bonus

theres not even a contract to vote on yet lol. Bur if i were a GM employee i would have votes no all day. Without written guarantees for future work it's a sell out. That money and health wont matter much when youre out of a job...

I could see very small raises, no in progression shortening and no temp hires. Nowhere near 11000 signing bonus

DO NOT cast a vote until you see the white pages and read them. There was language in GM's contract that states after 90 days "The National partys are authorized to make modification and adjustments as necessary". They also crossed out/voided language that read "Full time temporary employees will not be hired at a plant where there are laid off seniority employees within the area hire. Temporary opportunities may be provided to laid off seniority employees". To me, if they can change the contract at will, its not a contract. That language only should be a red flag and an automatic NO vote!

The senior employee SHOULD get worked before a temp

If we cant see the contract in its entirety , they are hiding something. No full contract viewing , a NO vote for me...

If I am not mistaken most "Contracts" have been called living documents for a very good while now. This enables them to change whatever they like whenever it is deemed necessary. Both parties still have to agree though.

We went 1o+ years without a raise. Last contract we got raises and this one offers raises with no healthcare increases. I don’t know why people want to strike.

Maybe..?I don’t expect the same bonus,or them giving into the temps or top pay in 4 yrs.And I hope health benefits don’t change. Not sure on the 3,4,3,4 either..So strike is a strong possibility

Ford can't afford a strike like GM. If we do strike it wont last long. Ford family runs the business unlike GM & FCA are run by investors. Ford has investors too but the Ford family makes the calls.....we are not gonna get as big as signing bonus & if we do it will be part of our profit sharing.

If we don’t get same insurance,3,4,3,4 and at least 8000 bonus it’s a no.No raises for 11 yrs while IUAW was being bought off to keep themselves happy?Fuck that.We deserve more.Ford makes a KILLING on these temps and new hires.I want mine!Gonna retire soon and then won’t give a shit.Till then I want more.👍🏼

Based on cola we make less now than we did 10 years ago

Honestly I would be happy to see the retirees get a raise because that's gonna be us soon. These newbies could care less about retirees because they're not getting a pension.

Yeah and if your 25 years from retiring everything will change by then. We care about in progression rates, insurance, and hopefully they offer some kind of buyout for the old folks.
